The FTSE at 10,000: a missed opportunity for some marketing razzmatazz | Nils Pratley

I don’t usually comment but I think its kinda sad that they missed out on creating some marketing magic around the 10k mark 🤔. Like, what if they had done a sick campaign to get people hyped about investing? It could’ve been big, you know? 🤑 Instead of just letting it happen and not really doing anything with it. And its not like the companies aren’t making money, alot of them do most of their revenue abroad so its not like its all sunshine and rainbows for the uk economy 😊. I think they should’ve taken a more active role in promoting investing and financial risk-taking instead of just sitting back and letting it happen 📈.

Idk about this FTSE 10k thing... it's just a number 🤔. I mean, sure, shares have done well historically, but that doesn't necessarily mean this milestone is a game-changer. It's all about context and how we choose to spin it, right? 💸

I think the gov't and LSEG are missing the point by not creating some kind of marketing magic around this event 📢. A fun campaign could've gotten more people excited about investing and taking risks 🔥. Instead, they're just letting it slide... 😐.

The thing is, investing is all about taking calculated risks, but sometimes that requires a bit of drama and flair 🎉. I'm not saying we need some wild stunt to get people pumped up, but maybe a bit more enthusiasm wouldn't hurt 🤷‍♂️.

I've got my eye on the future now, though – let's see how this plays out in the long run 💸👀

come on guys, a round number like 10k is not just about the number itself its about creating hype around it, so what did lseg do? nothing 🤷‍♂️ i mean, think about it if they had done some sick marketing campaign it could've been more than just a milestone for the uk economy. now it's just another boring achievement. lets be real who cares if theres 10k points on the ftse 100 what does it even do? 🤑

The FTSE 10k is a big deal I guess 🤔, but is it really just about reaching a number? Some ppl think it's all about the companies making money abroad tho 💸. I dunno if it's really a "vote of confidence" in the UK economy or not 🤷‍♂️. What I do know is that shares have always outperformed cash over time, so why not encourage more people to invest? It's all about perception and marketing, innit? The LSEG missed a chance to create some excitement around this milestone, and now it's just another number 📈.
