The London Restaurant Openings to Watch in 2026

London's restaurant scene is bracing itself for a new wave of openings this year, but unlike its frenzied pace from last year, things seem to be unfolding at a more measured tempo. Dozens of eateries are slated to debut across the city in 2026, with several highly anticipated establishments already set to arrive in the first few months.

The city's dining landscape has seen an influx of new additions over the past year, including Poon's at Somerset House, which proved to be a welcome addition. While some restaurants have been pushed back from last year, such as Simpson's in the Strand and Brasserie Angelica, others are finally set to open their doors. Oudh 1722 and Impala Soho are among the buzzworthy newcomers that critics and diners alike will be keeping an eye on.

The introduction of DakaDaka, a Georgian restaurant, is particularly noteworthy given its promise. The revamped Simpson's in the Strand, which closed during the pandemic, also holds great potential for a second chance at success. With several more restaurants set to announce their arrival – and some delayed openings still pending – it will be fascinating to see how London's culinary scene evolves this year.

As the city's dining landscape continues to shift, new arrivals are likely to bring fresh flavors and ideas to the table. From casual eateries to high-end establishments, there's something for everyone in 2026's wave of restaurant openings.

Ugh 😒 I'm so over all this new foodie hype! Can't they just leave Simpson's alone? I mean, it was fine before it closed 🤷‍♀️ and now we're gonna have to wait even longer for it to reopen? And what's with all these new places popping up everywhere? It's like they think London is just one big foodie tour or something 🚶‍♂️. I love a good meal as much as the next person, but can't we just appreciate the classics instead of constantly needing something new and trendy? 🤔

Ugh, more restaurants 🤯... I mean, I'm excited for some new spots, but it feels like every other week someone is opening up a new eatery in London. Can't they just chill a bit? 😒 It's not that hard to find a table at Poon's or Oudh 1722 when they first opened. And Simpson's in the Strand was actually really good before it closed, so I'm curious if they can recapture that magic. Still, another wave of openings means more noise and less peace for regular diners like me 😩.

🤔 So they're saying London's got a new wave of restaurants comin' up this year? But it's not all hype like last year... or is it? 🍴 I mean, I'm glad Poon's at Somerset House was a good addition, but some places get pushed back from last year and then suddenly pop up again? 🤷‍♂️ Like what happened to Simpson's in the Strand? And is DakaDaka really a game-changer with this Georgian food vibe? 👀 How do we know it's not just another overhyped spot? I need some more info on these restaurants and their reputations before I get too excited... 📊

I'm so over all these new restaurants opening up in London it's like they're just popping up out of thin air 🤯 I mean don't get me wrong I love a good meal as much as the next person but can't they just pick one or two spots to focus on instead of flooding the scene with new places every year? It's just going to make it harder for people to find a table at their fave spot. And another thing what's with all these 'highly anticipated' restaurants they're always so hyped up but when you finally get in there it's like 'meh'

🤔 so I wonder how Londoners deal with all these new restaurants popping up everywhere? like, do they just go with it or are people getting a bit tired of the constant change? also, what makes DakaDaka's promise so special? is there something about Georgian cuisine that's got everyone excited? 🍴👀

🤔 I'm not surprised London's restaurant scene is taking it easy this year... all those restaurants opening up last year was kinda crazy lol 😂. Some places that closed down during the pandemic are getting a second chance which could be really interesting. I'm intrigued by DakaDaka, Georgian food is on my bucket list 🤤. Hope some of these new openings will bring more options for vegans/veggies too 👌
