I'm low-key worried about this whole situation but also kinda super stoked for Mark Thomson
He's got some big shoes to fill and I gotta respect his optimism, even if it might seem like a bit of a gamble to switch off the LHC right now
. The fact that he's hyped about the next 5 years of research and development is a major plus, and I'm all for exploring new discoveries
. Of course, there are some major concerns surrounding the FCC project – the cost, uncertainty, and all that jazz
– but Thomson seems like a pro who can navigate those challenges without losing sight of Cern's mission
. Fingers crossed he'll make it happen and bring us some groundbreaking stuff!
