The Setapp Mobile iOS store is shutting down on February 16th

idk why ppl are all worried about setapp mobile shutting down 🤷‍♂️ it's not like it was the only alternative app store out there. apple just made it harder for devs to create their own stores by imposing those restrictive policies 🙄 and now we're left with even less choice? yay 🎉 i'm glad macpaw is moving on to other projects, hopefully they'll finally make something that's not stuck in the dark ages like setapp mobile was 🚫

I'm kinda bummed to hear that Setapp Mobile is shutting down 🤔. I mean, who doesn't love the idea of having alternative app stores on iOS? It was like a breath of fresh air for developers and users alike. MacPaw's effort to create a new ecosystem was admirable, but it seems like Apple's restrictive policies were just too much for them to handle.

It's a shame that Setapp Mobile didn't catch on with more users. I know some people who used it and loved the flexibility it offered 🤗. Now it's back to relying on Apple's App Store, which can be pretty limiting if you ask me. On the bright side, MacPaw is still working on other projects like Eney, so there's hope for innovation yet 💡. Maybe this shutdown will just motivate them to create something even better? 🤞

I'm really bummed about this 😔. I've been using Setapp Mobile for ages, and it's gonna be a real pain to switch to something else now. I know they said their business model didn't fit with the app store thingy, but still... 🤷‍♂️ It's like Apple is just making it impossible for anyone else to compete. I mean, who needs all those restrictions and guidelines? Not me, that's for sure. Anyway, I guess I'll have to start transferring my data ASAP so I can keep using Setapp Mobile until the bitter end 📈💻

I'm so confused about this... like, I get why they're shutting down Setapp Mobile, but at the same time, can we really blame them? 🤔 I mean, Apple's DMA is supposed to promote competition, right? But if it's not working for Setapp Mobile, maybe that's a sign that their approach was flawed from the start. Or, on the other hand, what if they were just too optimistic about their chances of success? 💸 Like, we all know how hard it is for third-party app stores to compete with Apple's ecosystem... but still, it's sad to see Setapp Mobile go 🤕.

Ugh, can you believe this? So now we're gonna lose Setapp Mobile on Feb 16th? It's like Apple just crushed another alternative app store 🤦‍♂️. I mean, I get it, complex business terms aren't for everyone, but what about the devs who were all about giving EU users a choice? Now they're stuck with no other option but to use those super restrictive Apple App Stores 🙄. And don't even get me started on the fact that we still haven't seen any real change with that Digital Markets Act... more like just another move by Apple to keep things under their control 👀.
