The Witcher season four review – Liam Hemsworth is as charismatic as a bollard in a wig

Liam Hemsworth's Unlikely Stance as Geralt of Rivia: The Struggle is Real in Season Four

In a shocking move, Liam Hemsworth has taken over the iconic role of Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill, leaving fans and the cast to pick up the pieces. The stakes are high, as Geralt's character arc is fraught with responsibility, loyalty, and – quite literally – a wig that doesn't quite fit.

The new season picks up where its predecessor left off, with Geralt on a quest for his adopted daughter Ciri (Freya Allan) and entangled in the world of politics and magic. The plot thickens as Geralt navigates treacherous landscapes, forges uneasy alliances, and confronts foes that would make even the most seasoned warrior quail.

One thing is certain: Liam Hemsworth's portrayal of Geralt II is a far cry from Cavill's brooding, charismatic take on the character. Gone is the gruff likability, replaced by an awkward, stilted performance that makes one wonder if Hemsworth is trying too hard to compensate for the unfamiliar role.

The result is a jarring tone that veers wildly between somber drama and goofy, Saturday-morning-adventure fare. The dialogue can be clunky at times, with characters spouting lines that sound like they were ripped straight from a Game of Thrones script. And don't even get started on Geralt's accent – poor man does his best to muddle through, but it's like he's trying to speak a different language.

In the end, The Witcher season four feels like an exercise in catching up with a character who has lost his footing. Will fans forgive Hemsworth's less-than-stellar performance and accept Geralt II for what he is? It's still early days, but one thing is certain: this unlikely stance will be watched closely.

🤔 "The truth is rarely pure and never simple." - Oscar Wilde I'm not sure if Liam Hemsworth's performance as Geralt of Rivia has ruined the show for some fans or opened their eyes to something new. For me, it feels like a bold experiment that didn't quite pay off. The tone swings wildly between serious drama and lighthearted moments, making it hard to settle into. Still, I'm curious to see how the season unfolds and if Hemsworth's take on Geralt grows on me 🎥

ok so im watching season 4 of the witcher 🤔 and i gotta say, liam hemsworth as geralt is...different 😂 he's got some good points, but like, his performance is all over the place 🌪️ one minute it's super somber, next minute its like hes trying to be a kid again 👦

i feel bad for him, cause henry cavill was the OG geralt and set the bar pretty high 🔥 but liam hemsworth is trying hard to make it work 💪 and im all about supporting the new guy 🤝

the thing thats got me though is how different his take on geralt is from the books 📚 and henry cavill's one. its like, they're two different characters or something 🤷‍♂️ but still kinda confusing

anywayz, ill keep watchin and see if liam hemsworth can pull it off 👀 here's a lil diagram of how i think the season is gonna go 📈

idk about liam hemsworth as geralt...he just doesn't seem to fit the role 😐 he's trying too hard to be brooding and stuffy like cavill, but it comes off as forced 🤯 the dialogue can be super cringey at times and geralt's accent is all over the place 🤦‍♂️ i mean, the guy's got some great action scenes, but when it comes to acting chops, he's just not there 👎

lol I feel u 🤣 Liam Hemsworth trying to play Geralt of Rivia is like me trying to do a backflip on my skateboard 😂😂. Just not meant to be, fam! The new season got some promising moments but overall it's like they're all over the place 🌪️. Poor Freya Allan though, stuck with Ciri again 🤷‍♀️, I hope she gets her own spin-off soon 💖. Liam Hemsworth's got some serious acting chops to bring in Geralt II, hopefully next season he'll find his footing 💪

🤔 Liam Hemsworth's take on Geralt of Rivia feels like a stretch, to be honest 🙅‍♂️. Cavill set the bar pretty high with his brooding vibe, and it's hard to shake off that feeling when Liam comes in with a different energy 💥. The accents and dialogue sound a bit forced too 🤷‍♂️. Don't get me wrong, I'll watch the season, but I'm not sure if this is what Geralt needed 😐

Man I'm still trying to wrap my head around Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia lol 😂 it's like he's in a different world or something! I mean, Henry Cavill was on point with that role and now this...it's just not the same vibe. The guy's got some serious acting chops, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I feel like he's trying too hard to make it work 🤣 and that accent? 😂 poor dude's gotta work on that one! Anyway, I'm curious to see how it all plays out in this new season...I hope the writers can get him into character soon or it might be a long road ahead 💔

Ugh, Liam Hemsworth's latest acting gig is like a trainwreck that you can't look away from 🚂😳. I mean, the dude just took over as Geralt of Rivia and it's like he's trying to play catch-up with himself. The brooding charm is gone, replaced by awkward stiltedness... it's like watching a fish out of water on land 🐟🌊.

The plot is all over the place, too - one minute it's dark and serious, next thing you know it's like they're trying to make a Saturday morning cartoon 🤣. And don't even get me started on that ridiculous accent... poor guy's got some 'splainin' to do 😂.

I'm not sure if fans will forgive this mess just yet, but I'll be watching closely to see how it all plays out 📺. Maybe Liam can find his footing in this role (literally) and make it work, or maybe we'll get a new cast member altogether 🤷‍♂️. Either way, it's gonna be an interesting ride! 😃

omg, i'm so confused about liam hemsworth as geralt of rivia 😂 i mean, henry cavill was like the OG geralt and now suddenly he's out and liam is in? it's like a whole different show 📺

i get that liam wants to try something new but maybe they could've done more testing or rehearsal before putting him on screen 🤔 the accent thing is just so cringeworthy 😂 and don't even get me started on the dialogue, it's like they're trying too hard to be all deep and mystical 🔮

anyway, i'm still gonna watch it with my friends 👯‍♀️ we can judge together and see if liam can pull off geralt 🤓 let's hope for the best, but 2.5/5 is pretty harsh 💔

I'm low-key shocked about Liam Hemsworth taking over Geralt's role 🤯. I think Henry Cavill was kinda perfect for the part, you know? But at the same time, I can see how they wanted to shake things up and give Hemsworth a chance to shine. Problem is, it feels like he's trying way too hard 😅. The accent is all over the place, the lines are clunky... it's just not quite right, you feel me? 🤔 Still, I'm curious to see how this season unfolds. Maybe they'll get the tone just right and make it work? 🎭👀

omg i'm so confused about liam hemsworth as geralt lol the new season looks like it has some major issues... i mean i know henry cavill was kinda perfect in the role but at least he had that whole brooding thing down pat now it's like they're trying to be all different and stuff and it just doesn't feel right 🤔

i'm also really disappointed about the dialogue it sounds so cheesy and forced... and geralt's accent is pretty cringeworthy 😂 i get that liam hemsworth is trying to compensate but maybe he could've taken some acting classes or something?

anyway, i'll probably watch the new season just out of curiosity lol what do u think about it? 🤔👀

I'm so down for the new season but I'm also kinda torn 🤔. Liam Hemsworth's take on Geralt is definitely... different 😂. The guy's trying way too hard, you feel? Like he's all like "Oh, I gotta be brooding and serious now!" 🙄. And that accent? 🙈😂.

But for real though, the plot thickens fast 💥 and there are some awesome moments that'll keep you on the edge of your seat 👀. The Witcher has always been about the fantasy and adventure aspects, so I'm not expecting too much from the acting department, tbh 😊.

Stats-wise, Liam Hemsworth's performance is averaging around a 6.2/10 based on fan reviews 📊. Not bad, but we need to see some improvement 👍. And let's be real, Henry Cavill's Geralt will always have that extra oomph 💪.

Chart time! 😎 Here are the season four viewer numbers so far:

🌟 12.5 million viewers worldwide in the first week 📊
💰 $1.2 million gained from merchandise sales alone 🤑
👍 Average rating: 4.2/5 on IMDB (and climbing 🚀)

We'll see what the rest of the season brings, folks! 👀

idk about liam hemsworth as geralt, feels like he's trying too hard to fit into the role 🤔👀 i mean, cavill was a solid 8/10 and now it's more like 3/10? 😐 maybe the dude needs some time to get into character or just needs a better script 👍

I feel so bad for Liam Hemsworth 🤕, he's gotta make a tough transition to such an iconic role and it's just not happening right now. The tone of the show feels all over the place too 😂, I mean I love Henry Cavill as Geralt, but maybe this is just a different take on things? Still, 2.5/5 doesn't seem super encouraging... hope he gets his sea legs soon! 💪

idk about liam hemsworth as geralt...the guy just doesn't seem right in the role lol 🤔 his character arc is supposed to be all about emotional depth and complexity, but from what i've seen so far, it feels like he's trying too hard to fit into the shoes of henry cavill 👠

and omg that wig though...it's like it's trying to blind us with its existence 🤯 but seriously, the dialogue can be pretty cringeworthy at times and geralt's accent is just meh 🙄

i think fans will need some time to adjust to this new take on geralt, and honestly, i'm not sure if liam hemsworth can pull off a more nuanced performance in the long run 😬 it feels like he's still finding his footing (literally, with that ridiculous accent)
