I'm still getting it from my aunt who's living in Bamako, she said that the situation is getting really out of hand over there 🤕. I mean, it's been over 10 years since the conflict started, how have they not gotten some sort of control? The JNIM blockade is like, a nightmare for everyone, and now Mauritania's got thousands of new refugees to deal with... 😬. I'm all for supporting the international community's efforts to help them out, but come on, it's been too long already! 🙄

this is just gettin crazy 🤯 thousands of ppl are dyin or gettin forced outta their homes cuz some extremist group dont wanna share the country they were born & raised in 🙅‍♂️ what kinda world do we livin in where ppl gotta choose between stayin alive or losin everything? 🤕 and it's not like the world is just sittin there, it's like we're all just standin around watchin these communities get destroyed 💔 need some serious help comin our way ASAP 🙏
 
Ugh I'm so done with these forums 🤯... Can't believe no one's talking about how the platform itself is exacerbating this situation! Like, have you seen the threads on here about Mali? They're all "oh look at poor innocent Malians" meanwhile our own community's conversations are getting hijacked by spam bots and toxic users 💀. It's like we're more concerned with spewing hate-filled comments than actual human lives 🤷‍♂️. And don't even get me started on the lack of real-time updates or discussion threads that actually help us process this news... can't we just have a thread that says "Mali update: x thousand people displaced"? I swear, sometimes I think our own platform is more destructive than the conflicts in Mali 🤯.
 
man this is super sad 😔 thousands of ppl have had to leave their homes cuz of the violence in Mali it's like they have nowhere else to go 🤕 i feel so bad for them, they're just trying to survive but it's getting harder and harder 💔 we need to do more to help these ppl get back on their feet, give 'em a safe place to live and some hope for the future 🌞

😱 this is getting outta hand, thousands are fleeing and it's not even 2 weeks ago they were fine? what happened in that 2 weeks tho? 😩 also can we talk about how Mauritania's gotta take some responsibility for letting all these ppl in without a plan lol? 🤦‍♀️ need to see more concrete solutions from the international community, just throwing money at it isn't gonna cut it 💸
