Topp rescue act not enough to save Horst Steffen at ailing Werder Bremen | Andy Brassell

I gotta say, Werder Bremen is having a pretty tough time this season 😩. I mean, who would've thought that after a summer of transfers and expecting big things from Horst Steffen, they'd be struggling so much? It's like, you can't keep throwing good money after bad and expect it to magically fix everything 💸.

And now with Thomas Schaaf mentioned as a potential new boss, I'm intrigued. He did have some success in the past, but that was back in his playing days, right? 🤔 Still, you gotta think that's better than keeping Steffen on board, who hasn't been able to turn things around. The thing is, Werder Bremen fans are gonna be stuck with this feeling of "what could've been" if they hadn't made those questionable transfer moves earlier in the season 🤷‍♂️.

The Bundesliga table is looking tighter than ever, and it's only going to get more intense from here. I'm both excited and terrified for Werder Bremen, but at the same time, Schaaf's return could be just what they need to shake things up 🔥👊

I think Steffen's sacking is gonna be a major overreaction lol 🤦‍♂️ 20 games without a win and they still have the talent to turn things around. I mean, Topp's goal was insane! Werder should've stuck with him as the lone striker instead of messing around with different formations. The squad's not broken just because Steffen lost his cool 😒

just got out of that match and werder bremen is in big trouble 🤕 their defense is weak and offense is non existent . they cant even score goals without relying on someone else's fluke shots like keke topps 2 goal 🤯 and its not gonna be enough to save them now

I don't usually comment but... I feel bad for Werder Bremen they've been having such a tough time lately. 2-1 against Gladbach is never going to be easy and to score that equalizer in stoppage time, that's just crazy. The thing is though, it's like they're stuck on repeat and can't seem to move forward. They had some promising players but the team as a whole hasn't been working together. And now Steffen's gone, it's like there's another band-aid on the same old wound 🤕
