Trump loomed over baseball's Hall of Fame. But voters still said no to Bonds and Clemens

🤔 The whole thing is kinda wild...I mean, you got Trump trying to sway voters with his influence, but at the end of the day, people just wanted to stick to what's right. It's not about the players, it's about the values of the sport. And honestly, I'm low-key impressed that they stuck to their guns on Bonds and Clemens. 🙌 I mean, yeah, it's a tough pill for some fans to swallow, but it shows that the game is committed to being true to itself. The PED scandal is still a thing, but if we're gonna keep moving forward, we gotta be willing to acknowledge what went wrong in the past. 💪

I don't get why the Hall of Fame can't just let players like Bonds and Clemens have their moment, you know? I mean, they were huge stars on the field, and that's what matters most to me, not if they used PEDs or not. It's like, we're living in 2025, not 1990, and times are changing... but then you hear about Joe Jackson being considered for reinstatement, and it just feels like baseball is trying too hard to be relevant again 🤷‍♂️

And what's up with the Classic Era committee vote? It's like they're more worried about preserving the sport's integrity than actually honoring its greatest players. I get where they're coming from, but come on, can't we just move forward and let people make their own decisions about who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame?

It's not about the PEDs, it's about nostalgia and tradition... or so I thought 🤔
