So apparently Con Edison got their new rate hike plan approved and it's gonna be a bit of a relief but still super frustrating for people who are already struggling to pay their bills. I feel bad for Eli Lind saying it's not an optional expense - my grandma has been living on a fixed income for years and she's always worrying about how she's gonna pay her energy bill every month

I gotta say, I'm loving this unity between Trump and Mamdani on tackling energy rate hikes! It shows that even when politicians have different views, they can still find common ground to make a difference. 
The fact that Con Edison's new rate hike plan is significantly lower than their original request is a huge win for NYC residents who are struggling with skyrocketing utility bills. 
But I'm also keeping it real – let's be real, those $4 and $10 monthly increases still add up, and many people will feel the pinch.
