Trump says he will roll back fuel efficiency standards for vehicles

🤔 I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not... I mean, saving Americans $1,000 on a new car sounds awesome 🤑 but what about all those air pollutants and greenhouse gases we're trying to cut down? 🌿 It feels like the government's just looking for ways to help out Big Auto instead of thinking about the bigger picture. And what's up with the new rules being lower than Biden's targets? That seems like a step back, you know? 📉 I'm all for giving customers more choice and affordability 👍 but this feels like a short-term fix that could have long-term consequences. We should be investing in cleaner energy solutions and public transport options instead of just tweaking fuel efficiency standards 🚀

🤯 this is a total disaster waiting to happen, like, we're literally destroying our planet for a buck or two more savings. I mean, $109 billion might seem like a lot, but think about all the devastating climate change that's gonna come from this... 🌎💥 what are we even doing?! Those Big Three car companies must be totally oblivious to the damage they're inflicting on our future 🤑🚗

😊 I gotta say, these new fuel efficiency standards are all over the place 🤯! On one hand, saving people $109 billion is a nice chunk of change 💸, and if it means less pain at the pump for consumers, that's a win 🏆. But on the other hand, environmental groups are saying this could be a huge step back for reducing carbon emissions ⚠️... which kinda worries me 🤔. I mean, we're already seeing higher gas prices due to inflation and all that, so do we really want to make things worse? 🌪️ I'm not sure if the long-term strategy is gonna play out in our favor here 🤑. And what about those crossover vehicles? 🚗 They're basically just cars with more seats... how does classifying them as light trucks help anything? 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure if resetting fuel efficiency standards is a good idea... I mean, think about it, we're already seeing the effects of climate change and rising temps everywhere 🌡️. I was reading this convo in 2023 when Biden's admin first set these rules, and it seemed like a step in the right direction. Now, with inflation on the rise, I get why Trump is trying to ease things up for consumers... but at what cost? 🤑 Do we really want to sacrifice our future planet for some quick price drops? 😐 And what about those crossover vehicles and small SUVs being reclassified as passenger cars? That just seems like a weird loophole 🤔. I guess only time'll tell how this whole thing plays out...
