Trump's claims about Greenland are misinformation, Danish official says amid latest US push to acquire territory – live

omg, like, trump's claims about greenland are literally ridiculous 🤦‍♂️! who cares if there are some ships around the place? it's not like china or russia are going to invade denmark or anything 😂. and danish foreign minister lars løkke rasmussen is totally right - denmark and greenland should make their own decisions about their future, no need for trump to get all salty about it 🙄.

and can we talk about venezuela for a sec? delcy Rodríguez is speaking truth to power 💁‍♀️. we should be supporting the venezuelan people, not just sitting back and waiting for trump to make another reckless move 😒.

anyway, it's cool that senator jeanne shaheen and senator thom tillis are trying to keep trump in check 👮‍♂️. and canada and the uk are speaking out against trump's behavior too 🇨🇦🇬🇧. maybe we can all just take a deep breath and try to stay calm about it 😌.

I don’t usually comment but... I think it’s kinda weird that Trump is trying to take over Greenland, you know? Like, what even is the point of having a US territory in the middle of nowhere 🤔. And Denmark isn't just gonna let him take it over, they've got their own government and stuff. Plus, there are already some countries like China and Russia who are interested in Greenland too... I don’t see why Trump's claims about all these ships in the area are so believable 🚣‍♀️. It just seems like he’s trying to stir up drama for his own sake 💁‍♂️.

And on a totally different note, what's going on with Venezuela? Delcy Rodríguez sounds super tough but also kinda crazy 🤪. I don’t know about this regime-change thing and the state of emergency... it just seems like Trump is trying to make a point by taking action on two fronts at once 🔄.

I guess what I’m saying is, can't we all just get along? Or at least try to understand each other’s perspectives before making decisions that might affect whole countries 🤝.

I'm telling ya, this whole Greenland thing is like a can of worms 🐛. Trump's claims are totally unfounded, but I think he's just trying to distract us from the real issues at hand, like his Venezuela policy 💸. I mean, what's next? Is he gonna try to annex Canada or something? 😂 It's just ridiculous.

And let's be real, Rubio's response better come with some substance, not just empty words 🗣️. We need someone who's actually gonna stand up for the US and its interests in this situation. And what's with all these bipartisan statements from Senators Shaheen and Tillis? Are they just trying to save face or do they really believe Trump's claims are unfounded? 🤔

And have you seen the news coming out of Venezuela lately? It's like a bad reality show 📺. Delcy Rodríguez is totally right, no external agent should be governing that country. We need to respect their sovereignty and let them figure it out for themselves.

This whole situation just reminds me of the classic "bait and switch" move in politics 🤥. Trump's trying to sell us on a bill of goods, but when you scratch beneath the surface, it's just a bunch of hot air 🚽. We need some real leadership here, not this gamesmanship nonsense.

Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney might be right that Greenland should be decided by the people of Denmark and Greenland, but I think we're missing the bigger picture here 🌐. This is all about great power politics, folks. The US needs to take a step back and reevaluate its strategy on this one 🔙.

And finally, Gregory Meeks's call for public hearings and transparency in Venezuela? That's music to my ears 👂. We need Congress to stand up for itself and demand more accountability from the Executive Branch. It's time to get serious about oversight and let Trump know that we're watching 🕵️‍♂️.

😬🌎 The whole thing with Greenland is just so 🤯 unnecessary! 🙄 US President Trump thinks he can just 🚫 buy or invade some country? 🤑👀 Meanwhile, Denmark and Greenland are all 👪 about their own 💼 future. Trump's claims are totally 😂 false, especially about Russian and Chinese ships in Greenland. 🚣‍♀️ That's just a big 🤥 misunderstanding! 🙈 Denmark knows what it wants for its people and that's the 👊 way to go! 💖

🤔 I don't think the US should be making claims that Greenland is a threat to their security, tbh... I mean, it's not like they're going to invade or anything, right? 🙄 But at the same time, I get why Denmark and other Nordic countries are being cautious - they do have a lot of history with Greenland. And yeah, China and Russia aren't exactly neutral actors in the region. But come on, Marco Rubio should probably talk to Vivian Motzfeldt ASAP about this... it's just a big mess 🤯
