I'm really disappointed to hear that the Women's Champions Cup TV rights haven't been sold... yet It's like, we know women's football is growing and all the teams are killing it on the pitch, but for some reason, broadcasters aren't biting The condensed schedule might be a thing for some, but I think more matches would've made it way more appealing to watch And neutral venues? That just doesn't feel like a big enough draw What's going on, FIFA?
idk what's going on with fifa's tv rights they're always trying to create these big events but it seems like nobody wants to pay for them lol maybe they should just focus on the players and not try to make a bunch of money off the tournament? still think the women's game is amazing though, love watching the ladies play
Ugh I'm so bummed FIFA is really struggling to make this Women's Champions Cup happen... they had some great teams lined up and now it's all falling apart . The fact that the games are only played for 4 days, I get it, condensed schedule can be intense but still... the broadcast deal is a huge part of making this tournament viable . It's crazy how Sky Sports and BBC Sport were offered it and still passed on it due to concerns about the matches being held in London . This could really set back the growth of women's football globally
I feel like I just got served a penalty in football... err, I mean, the women's Champions Cup is getting a red card from TV rights! Can you believe it? A global competition and they still can't get anyone on board. Maybe FIFA should've thought of this before playing with a bunch of big names like Arsenal . And what's up with all the games being played in neutral venues? Sounds like they're trying to make it less appealing than a Sunday roast at my aunt's house . Seriously though, this could be a major setback for women's football... but hey, on the bright side, maybe FIFA can just play the tournament for themselves and charge everyone admission fees .
