TV tonight: Ashley Jensen is back solving murders in Shetland

TV line-ups are set to treat viewers to a slew of intriguing shows tonight.

Ashley Jensen takes centre stage in Shetland, as the tenth series of this gripping murder-solving drama kicks off with DI Ruth Calder tackling her next gruesome case. Alongside her colleague, Tosh McIntosh, they uncover dark secrets and delve into the mysteries plaguing the remote hamlet where a social worker was brutally murdered. Expect a gripping ride filled with suspenseful twists.

On ITV1, Rupert Murdoch faces the music in The Hack's final episode, while also seeing his son James get grilled by Nick Davies at the Leveson inquiry. Although we can't help but feel that this will be a predictable battle of wits – after all, how long can the Capo hold on?

Those looking for some self-build action will be tuned in to Grand Designs. This time around, Kevin and Stuart from Wirral have just nine months left to transform their bungalow into an architectural masterpiece with £175k budget. Will they ever get it done? Tune in.

Next up is the BBC New Comedy Awards 2025, where five hopefuls vying for stardom compete against each other in search of comedy greatness. With Phil Dunning and Dan Tiernan as judges and Fatiha El-Ghorri flanking them, will anyone be crowned this year's future star?

Meanwhile, Bex is on the hunt for a notorious serial killer while dealing with her wolf obsession in The Hunting Party, a crime drama filled with dark suspense.

For film enthusiasts, tonight brings us The Fantastic Four: First Steps. With Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby leading the charge against an intergalactic foe, we can't help but wonder if Marvel's Cinematic Universe has finally found its footing once more.

On Film4 comes Bob Trevino Likes It, a heartwarming story about connection through the power of human touch – based on real-life events. So expect a moving comedy-drama that tugs at your heartstrings.

In conclusion, tonight promises to be an exciting night filled with engaging TV shows catering to a wide range of tastes and genres.

I'm low-key hyped for tonight's line-up 🤩📺. Shetland is one of those shows that keeps me on the edge, all these murder mysteries and dark secrets... it's like I don't wanna stop watching 😅. And then there's The Hunting Party, it sounds so intense with a wolf obsession lol. I'm also stoked for Grand Designs, Kevin and Stuart are always entertaining to watch 🤣. Who else is excited? 👍

I'm so stoked for Shetland, been watching it since the beginning, Ashley Jensen is just amazing as DI Ruth Calder, she always brings that gravitas to her roles 🤩. And I'm curious about The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby are a solid team, fingers crossed Marvel gets it right this time 🚀. But you know what's also gonna be great? Grand Designs, those guys always have the most epic fails, I love watching them try to build their dream home 😂. And on a more serious note, The Hunting Party has been getting some amazing reviews, can't wait to dive in and see if it lives up to the hype 📺.

I'm watching The Hunting Party tonight... the show is so gripping! I feel bad for Bex, she's got a tough job tracking down that serial killer while dealing with her own personal issues 🤯💔. And can't wait to see what happens with Kevin and Stuart on Grand Designs, their build project is always entertaining to watch 🏠👍. Anyone else watching any of these shows? 😊

The proliferation of intriguing TV line-ups this evening is a testament to the versatility of modern entertainment 📺. From the gripping Shetland series to the anticipated Leveson inquiry drama on The Hack, it's clear that audiences are in for a treat. I'm intrigued by Kevin and Stuart's self-build adventure on Grand Designs – their nine-month transformation seems like a thrilling challenge. On a more somber note, The Hunting Party promises to delve into dark suspense with its portrayal of a serial killer. With films like The Fantastic Four: First Steps offering a fresh take on the Marvel universe, I'm hopeful that this iteration will meet expectations 🤞. Overall, it's shaping up to be an engaging evening for viewers! 💡

I'm watching The Fantastic Four: First Steps later, been waiting for this one 🚀, heard great things about Pedro Pascal's performance. Not sure if I'll make time for it tonight but have heard its Marvel Cinematic Universe finally got its footing after a rough patch.

🔥💥 oh man i'm so hyped for the tv line-ups tonite 📺😍 first of all ashley jensen is back as di ruth calder in shetland and that's like my spirit animal 🤣💀 i love how dark and suspenseful it gets every time she's on screen. and can we talk about rupert murdoch being roasted by nick davies at the leveson inquiry lol what a power move 💁‍♀️👊

and have you seen kevin and stuart from wirral trying to turn their bungalow into an architectural masterpiece in grand designs 🤣🏠 i mean its gonna be a wild ride watching them try not to break the bank or blow it up mid construction 😂💥

but honestly what im most looking forward to is the bbc new comedy awards 2025 💥😂 those five hopefuls better bring their A game cuz phil dunning and dan tiernan are tough judges 🤣🎬

📺👀 I'm so hyped for tonight's lineup! The Shetland series is always on point, can't wait to see what dark secrets DI Ruth Calder uncovers this time 🕵️‍♀️. And Grand Designs with Kevin & Stuart, that's my jam - who doesn't love a good self-build renovation? 💸🏠 But seriously, I'm kinda excited for The Fantastic Four: First Steps too... Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby are killing it! 🚀💥

🤔 I'm gonna say it's all just another load of scripted drama designed to keep us entertained while our lives fall apart outside those screens... the serial killer thing in The Hunting Party is probably just a cheap cash-grab, and Ashely Jensen's got some serious acting chops to make it believable... 📺

omg i'm so down for this lineup!!! 🤩 shetland always gets me, the suspense is just too much! 💀 and grand designs is like my guilty pleasure, love watching those couples try to turn their houses into masterpieces 💼😂 also, who else is excited for The Fantastic Four: First Steps? i've been waiting for this one since forever 🚀

I'm so over these new reality show formats 🙄 like Grand Designs where people are literally building their dream homes in record time... I mean, what's the rush? Back in my day, we'd spend years renovating our tiny apartments and it was an adventure! And The Hunting Party sounds super intense - serial killers and wolf obsession? Sounds like a mashup of Twin Peaks and True Detective. But you know who the real protagonist is - Pedro Pascal 🤩

omg u gotta watch shetland 2nite!!! i've been following ashley jensen's character di ruth calder since the begining & she's just amazing 😍👮‍♀️ can't wait to see her solve another gruesome case!! 💀💪

Tonight's TV line-ups are looking pretty stacked! 🤔 I'm definitely intrigued by the new series of Shetland - Ashley Jensen is always great as a strong lead character. It's interesting that they're tackling dark secrets in this latest case, it'll be fascinating to see how they unravel the mystery.

The Hack's final episode seems like a must-watch for me too - Rupert Murdoch vs James Murdoch will surely be a compelling battle of wits. And I'm curious about Kevin and Stuart on Grand Designs, building an architectural masterpiece with £175k is no easy feat! 🏠 Will they get it done in time? The suspense!

I've also heard good things about Bex's new show, The Hunting Party - crime dramas are always a thrill ride for me. And for film fans, The Fantastic Four: First Steps could be just what we need after the Marvel Cinematic Universe's recent ups and downs.

One thing I'm looking forward to is the BBC New Comedy Awards 2025 - finding the next comedy star is always exciting! With those judges on board, I hope we get some great laughs tonight. 😄

Ugh, another night where we're all just going to sit around watching these scripted dramas and comedies that are probably just formulaic and predictable anyway 🙄. I mean, Ashely Jensen is fine, but Shetland has been going on for ages, what's new about this season? And don't even get me started on The Hack, like how original a show about Murdoch getting grilled by journalists is going to be... 😒

And have you seen the latest Grand Designs? Those guys are just deluding themselves if they think they can finish that renovation in 9 months 🤦‍♂️. I mean, what's the budget for all those mistakes and last-minute fixes?! It's always going to end in disaster.

I swear, every year is the same – a bunch of wannabe comedians trying to make it big on the BBC New Comedy Awards... like anyone actually remembers who was there last year 🤷‍♀️. And don't even get me started on The Hunting Party, just another show about some woman with wolf obsession... how trite 😴.

I guess I'll have to watch The Fantastic Four: First Steps just because Pedro Pascal is in it, but Marvel's Cinematic Universe still has a long way to go before they can impress me 🤔. And Bob Trevino Likes It sounds like another feel-good film that's probably just going to leave you feeling empty inside after the credits roll 😐.

All in all, just another night of mindless entertainment...

omg i'm so down for some thrilling murder mysteries tonight 🤯 shetland is literally my fave show - ashley jensen as di ruth calder is perfection 💪 meanwhile, the hack's final episode better not be predictable lol 👀 james murdoch is gonna get grilled by nick davies and i'm here for it 😂 on the other hand, can we talk about grand designs? 🏠 who needs 9 months to turn a bungalow into an architectural masterpiece?! 💸

The line-ups for tonight's TV shows are just so interesting 🤔! I mean, who wouldn't want to watch Ashley Jensen as DI Ruth Calder investigating a gruesome murder in Shetland? The way they weave together the dark secrets and mysteries is just masterful. And The Hack with Rupert Murdoch is going to be super intense - I'm curious to see how it all plays out, especially with James Murdoch facing off against Nick Davies at the Leveson inquiry 📺.

But what really caught my attention was Grand Designs with Kevin and Stuart from Wirral transforming their bungalow into a dream home. Nine months with £175k budget is just so... thrilling ⏰! Will they pull it off or will time run out? It's going to be a wild ride, that's for sure.

And have you heard of The Hunting Party? Bex is on the hunt for a serial killer while dealing with her wolf obsession - talk about a dark and twisted world 😳. I need more information about this show ASAP!

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is another Marvel film I'm super stoked to watch, especially with Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby leading the charge 💫. And on Film4, Bob Trevino Likes It sounds like just the kind of heartwarming story we all need - real-life events making for a powerful comedy-drama 🎥.

All in all, tonight's line-ups have something for everyone, so grab some snacks, get comfy, and enjoy! 😊

Omg I'm so stoked for Shetland tonite! Ashley Jensen always brings such depth to her characters, can't wait to see what Ruth gets herself into this time 🤯. And btw, who doesn't love a good murder mystery? Meanwhile, I'm more of a comedy person, but Bob Trevino Likes It sounds super heartwarming - just need to convince my partner to watch it with me 😊. Anyways, hope everyone enjoys their fave shows tonite! 📺

omg i am so hyped for The Hunting Party 🤯 it's like bex is speaking straight to my soul her obsession with wolves is literally the most relatable thing ever i need more episodes stat!! 💖

oh my gosh, i am SOOO excited for tonights tv lineup!!! 🤩 i've been waiting for shetland to start back up again, ashley jensen is literally my spirit animal 😂 and the hacking show sounds soooo good with rupert murdoch on screen 🤑 cant wait to see kevin and stuart try to build their dream home on grand designs it's always so inspiring! 🌟 also love that there's a comedy awards show tonight, fingers crossed for the new comedians to shine 💫
