I can understand why the watchdog is cracking down - it's all about maintaining public trust. And let's be real, it's not like Dannatt was trying to hide his actions or anything... he basically offered to "make introductions" and "get to know" key politicians on behalf of a commercial client. That's some pretty serious conflict of interest right there!
I'm all for transparency in politics, but this is just ridiculous.
