I don't think it's fair to say that the Pentagon is attacking defenseless people who can't fight or pose an imminent threat... I mean, some of these survivors were literally clinging to wreckage, like they were in a desperate situation and couldn't escape... But at the same time, I do think we need to question what exactly is happening out there in the Caribbean Sea and how this policy on "narco-terrorists" was formulated... The fact that some lawmakers are calling for transparency and accountability from the Pentagon makes sense to me, but maybe it's also worth looking into the motivations behind these attacks... Was it just a case of mistaken identity or was there something more going on?
this is just getting out of hand i mean, how much evidence do you need before its clear that whats happening here is straight up unacceptable? the video they released is like something out of a nightmare, people dying and being killed for no reason at all... what kind of military is doing this? its not just about following laws or whatever, its about basic human decency
idk what's more disturbing - the fact that these people are being killed or that they're still releasing this footage as if it's some kinda training exercise . like, how do you even justify showing lawmakers a graphic video of ppl getting slaughtered? and reps are like "oh we need to be clearer on the laws of war" but what about the laws of humanity?! this whole thing just reeks of institutional incompetence .
this is so messed up , i dont think its right for military to kill people who are just trying to survive after being hit by a boat the vids are super graphic and it looks like they're just attacking defenseless ppl who cant even fight back my brain can't even process how ppl in power can justify this kind of thing we need more transparency from the pentagon about what's really going on here
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
This whole thing just gets more disturbing by the minute... How can we expect our military to fight for us when they're so quick to take lives without questioning? It's like they've lost sight of what war is all about. We need to demand answers from those in power before this situation spirals out of control
