this supermarket footage is getting everywhere , can't a person even buy yogurt without being pelted with it in iran these days? the whole thing just feels like a setup for some major cultural commentary but honestly it's just a dude being weird

i don't think we should be making assumptions about the motivations behind this guy's actions though - maybe he was having a bad day or something? it's easy to write him off as a symbol of patriarchal oppression but what if he's just...different?

anyway, can we please just focus on supporting these two women who got hurt in the process? they deserve some serious medical attention and a long break from being pelted with yogurt

This yogurt thing is just not on. I mean, what's next? Eggs or milk? Can't believe someone would resort to that. The fact that the guys who work at the supermarket intervened quickly was probably a lifesaver for those two ladies. Not sure what's more disturbing - the act itself or the reaction from some people in Iran where women are expected to cover up just because they're not allowed to be alone in public. Women should be able to walk around without fear of being pelted with dairy products

this is so disturbing the fact that someone would be violent over something as simple as 2 women not wearing a headscarf is just heartbreaking i can only imagine how scared they must've been in that moment

it's like, we're living in a world where people still judge others based on their choices and it's like, what's wrong with being independent and making your own decisions? shouldn't we all be able to walk down the street without being pelted with yogurt or harassed?

it's not just about these 2 women, it's about all the women out there who are struggling to make ends meet and live their lives on their own terms. they deserve respect and kindness, not violence and aggression

this just happened in iran where is the support for these girls?? they were just shopping with their friends no big deal and then this guy comes out of nowhere hurling yogurt at them can't believe how violent some people can get over nothing meanwhile iran is all about 'modernity' but really its still stuck in the past what's going on with that country?!?
