Video shows skydiver dangling from plane after parachute mishap

Chaos erupted during a routine skydiving display at an Australian air show when a parachute malfunction left one diver dangling from a plane mid-air, leaving witnesses and officials stunned.

The incident occurred just as the group of 16 skydivers was set to jump into formation over Tully Airport in Far North Queensland. The cameraman had already exited his plane, along with the first skydiver, when the parachute attached to the second diver suddenly failed to deploy properly.

The diver, whose identity has not been disclosed, found himself suspended from the underside of the aircraft, flailing wildly as the plane continued to fly at 15,000 feet. The cameraman and other skydivers were seen rushing towards the stricken diver in an attempt to rescue him, but the situation remained perilously precarious for several tense moments.

Fortunately, the diver was eventually pulled to safety by fellow skydivers, who managed to secure a makeshift harness around his waist and carefully bring him down to the ground. The cause of the parachute malfunction is currently under investigation, with officials at Tully Airport vowing to take immediate action to ensure that such incidents never happen again.

😱 I'm still trying to process the sheer magnitude of the incident that unfolded at the Australian air show! The fact that a parachutist was left dangling from the plane mid-air is nothing short of terrifying, and it's a miracle he made it out alive πŸ™. The speed and complexity of skydiving operations demand an extreme level of trust in equipment and personnel – when that fails, it can lead to catastrophic consequences.

It's also fascinating to consider the psychological impact this must have had on the diver and his team. Being suspended from a moving aircraft at 15,000 feet is an experience most people can only imagine, let alone endure. The bravery of those who rushed to his aid is truly commendable ❀️. As for the investigation, I hope it sheds some light on what went wrong and provides actionable lessons for the skydiving community to improve their safety protocols πŸ“Š.

omg whats gonna b happen 2 that dude?! 😱 he literally had 2 just hang in there 4ever! like what if they didn't get 2 him 4m time? 🀯 i dont no how u do it skydiving but thats pure insane!! and thx 2 the cameraman & other skydivers who came 2 his rescue, that was some serious bravery right ther 😊. parachute tech has 2 b looked @ again, defo πŸ‘€

I mean what's up with these skydiving displays getting more crazy by the minute? Like, I get it, it's a thrilling show, but come on! 🀣 The guy gets stuck in mid-air like he's playing some sort of bizarre aerial game of 'rescue me' and you're just sitting there thinking "oh no, not again". Meanwhile, I'm over here worrying about the poor bloke getting his parachute to work. πŸ˜‚ And can we talk about how the cameraman got out before it malfunctioned? Like, did he get a head start or something? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Anyway, glad everyone's safe and all, but seriously, what's the protocol for dealing with emergency parachutes here? Like, do they just give you a 'parachute fail' badge on your skydiving ID card or something? πŸŽ‰

🀯 I'm still trying to wrap my head around this crazy skydiving display gone wrong πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ in Australia! I mean, 16 skydivers jumping into formation is already a huge undertaking, but the fact that one of them got stuck in mid-air with a malfunctioning parachute 😱 is just mind-boggling.

I can imagine how intense it must have been for the cameraman and other skydivers who rushed to rescue the diver. I'm glad they were able to secure a makeshift harness around his waist and pull him to safety, but oh man, what a terrifying experience for everyone involved 😬.

It's also pretty alarming that the parachute malfunction happened just as the group was about to jump into formation. You've got to wonder if it was some kind of equipment failure or human error πŸ€”. Either way, I hope the authorities are able to get to the bottom of this and take steps to prevent something like this from happening again in the future πŸ’ͺ.

I'm also curious to know what happened to the diver who got stuck mid-air... is he okay? πŸ˜•

omg u guys i cant even right now i was just watching this crazy skydiving display on tv and my heart stopped when they showed the diver get stuck in mid air like for real his parachute didnt deploy and he was literally dangling from the plane 🀯😱 what if he fell off?? i know its super scary but also kinda exhilarating at the same time?! anyway its good to hear that the guys who jumped into action saved him i mean i would freak out too in that situation lol anyway im just glad everyone is safe now πŸ™πŸ’•

Oh man 🀯, I'm still trying to process what happened there! A skydiving display can be so thrilling to watch, but this is just crazy 😱. I feel bad for the diver who got stuck mid-air - 15,000 feet is no joke! And can you imagine being that guy, flailing around with no control over your own safety? πŸ’₯

I'm glad the other skydivers were able to respond quickly and rescue him without any major incidents πŸ™. It's just one of those situations where everyone's got to be on their A-game and working together to get someone out alive.

It's also good that the authorities are taking this seriously and looking into what happened πŸ€”. Safety should always be the top priority in these types of events, and it's great that they're making promises to prevent something like this from happening again πŸ’―.

omg what a crazy scene 🀯 I was watching this air show live on my phone and i thought i was gonna die πŸ˜‚ i mean 16 skydivers just hanging in the air like they're in a video game lol but for real though how did that guy almost make it? that's insane πŸ’₯ i've never seen anything like it, was he lucky to be rescued or what? anyway glad everyone is safe now πŸ™ hope that cameraman wasn't too shaken by the whole thing 😬
