just saw the mural in Brooklyn , feels so emotional seeing all those names on the wall... 18k kids lost their lives, it's just heartbreaking . I love how the artist is trying to bring attention to this cause without being preachy or divisive . his collaboration with Radio Free Brooklyn and working with friends from both sides shows he really gets it . the fact that "The Voice of Hind Rajab" film got an Oscar nomination too, it's like the world is slowly waking up to what's happening in Gaza . can't wait to see more art pieces like this one that encourage empathy and open dialogue
I don’t usually comment but I think this mural is super powerful . It’s like, really sad that we need a wall of tears in Brooklyn to remember these kids, but at the same time it's amazing that someone is speaking out and trying to bring awareness to what's happening in Gaza. Phil Buehler seems like a really cool guy who just wants people to understand each other, you know? It’s also cool that he worked with some people from both sides of the conflict to make sure his piece isn't misinterpreted. I don’t have any answers for this issue but seeing something like "The Wall of Tears" can definitely spark a conversation . Maybe we should all try to be more empathetic and try to understand where others are coming from, you feel?
