Wall Street landlords have met a surprising opponent in Trump. So why is Starmer courting them? | Adam Almeida

Ugh, this is just another example of how corrupt and out of touch the system is 🙄. Trump thinks he's doing what's best for people, but really he's just trying to score some cheap points with his base while sucking up to the real money men. I mean, who does he think he is? He's literally putting his own interests ahead of the American people's needs. And now Keir Starmer is going to try and make a deal with the devil himself (aka Wall Street landlords), because that's what politicians do... they make deals with the highest bidder 🤑. It's disgusting, really.

idk why trump is so extra about this... doesnt he know that rich investors r just gonna find another way 2 invest in the market? like, blackstone will just find a way 2 sneak into the uk rental scene without trump's watchful eye lol 🤷‍♂️

anywayz, its all good for the average person cuz this means more affordable housing options. but lets be real, trumps motives are probably rooted in some deep-seated grudge against corporations or somethin 🤑

meanwhile, keir starmer is just trying 2 curry favor with wall st landlords like they r gonna magically make his life easier lol newsflash, keir: the only thing that'll get you ahead is to connect w/ ppl not just corporate fat cats 🤷‍♂️

I'm low-key surprised by Trump's sudden change of heart on single-family home ownership 🤔. It's almost as if he's trying to distance himself from the real estate industry that bankrolls his campaign 🤑. Meanwhile, Keir Starmer is playing catch-up with the US President, trying to win over Wall Street landlords 🏠💸. But let's be real, this is a classic case of politicians chasing after votes rather than genuinely addressing affordable housing 🗳️.

I'm also wondering what's driving this sudden interest in single-family rentals in the UK market 📈. Is it a genuine attempt to address affordability or just a desperate attempt to get back in the game? Either way, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out and who ultimately benefits from this policy shift 💸👀

I'm low-key shocked by Trump's decision 🤯. Like, I get why he wants to cut costs and all, but single-family homes aren't just for people, they're also a thing of value in the real estate market. And what about all those investors who already have properties? It's gonna be a mess if no one can buy from these big institutions 🤔.

Meanwhile, over in the UK, Labour is kinda doing the opposite, and it's hard to see how that's gonna work out for them 🤑. I mean, Keir Starmer needs to figure out what his own party wants before trying to court the enemy, you know? It's all about finding common ground, but in this case, they're just poking each other with sticks 💁‍♀️.

It's wild how politics can bring people together over something like housing policy, though 🤝. Even if they don't agree on everything, maybe we'll get a compromise that benefits everyone 🌈. Fingers crossed!

I'm seeing this as a major u-turn for Trump 🤯. He's basically saying that homes are for people, not just the wealthy. It's about time someone in power spoke up about affordability and the growing wealth gap in the US. The build-to-rent sector is booming, but it's mostly making life harder for regular folk who can't afford to rent out their own homes.

It's funny how Keir Starmer is doing the exact opposite of what Trump is doing, though 🤔. Labour seems more interested in courting wealthy landlords than genuinely helping ordinary people. The UK needs some much-needed reform on housing policy, and it's concerning that they're leaning on the same old rich donors instead of exploring new solutions.

I'm curious to see how this plays out with Congress and the US government 🤷‍♀️. Trump's move might just be a bold attempt to shake things up and put pressure on lawmakers to take action on affordability. Fingers crossed it's not all just a PR stunt 💁‍♀️.

🤯 I'm literally living for this news!! Trump is FINALLY taking a stand against big corporations owning homes and it's about time! 🚫 They're not just building homes, they're sucking the life out of our communities and driving up prices. It's not just about affordability, it's about people being able to live in their own homes without feeling like they're paying for some corporate entity.

I'm loving how the UK is trying to counter this by courting Wall Street landlords too. It's all about who can deliver on housing policy that actually helps people. I mean, Trump might be crazy sometimes but at least he's taking action on something that matters. Let's hope Keir Starmer gets his act together and doesn't sell out to the big money guys 🤑
