I think the way Americans think about their politics is kinda weird . Like, who says you gotta be one or the other? Can't people just agree on stuff without having to label themselves? I mean, I've got friends who say they're "independent" but still vote for the same party as me all the time... makes sense, right? And what's with these "strategic partnerships" you mentioned? Sounds like just a fancy way of saying people are doing whatever feels good at the moment . I guess the thing is, it's getting harder to make sense of it all. More and more people seem to be talking about things that don't fit into those neat little labels. Maybe we need to rethink how we talk about politics altogether?
