White House takes questions about Border Patrol killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis

White House Refuses to Confirm Karoline Leavitt's Involvement in Border Patrol Shooting Inquiry.

The White House is taking questions about the deadly shooting of a 20-year-old immigrant by US Border Patrol officers last Saturday in Minneapolis, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying she doesn't have any information on the incident.

Leavitt expressed her frustration during a Monday press conference when asked about the death of Alex Pretti, who was shot and killed while trying to cross the border.

"This is an ongoing investigation by local law enforcement," Leavitt said. "I don't have anything to add to that investigation at this time."

The incident has sparked widespread outrage among immigrant rights activists, with many criticizing the use of force by US Border Patrol officers. The White House press corps asked questions about whether President Donald Trump had ordered Leavitt to provide more information on the shooting.

When pressed further, Leavitt said she was not aware of any directive from the president regarding the incident and did not have any details on the circumstances surrounding Pretti's death.

just read about this and i'm so done with these people... like what is it with all these questions? can't they just leave the family alone? alex pretti was just trying to cross the border, for crying out loud! 🤯 and now his sister is basically being shut down by karoline leavitt. i get that there's an investigation going on, but can't we at least show some compassion here? 🙏 it's not like they're getting any answers anyway...

I'm not buying that press sec Karoline Leavitt is playing dumb about this whole thing 🙄... it sounds like they're just trying to stonewall the truth. I mean, come on, a 20-yr-old immigrant gets gunned down by border patrol officers and suddenly there's no information? It's fishy, you know? The fact that she's refusing to confirm Leavitt's involvement in the inquiry raises even more suspicions 🤔... it's like they're trying to sweep this under the rug. I've got my eye on this one, folks... something doesn't add up 💡

I don't get why the White House is being so secretive about this thing that happened at the border 🤔. It seems like they're just dodging questions because it's a problem with how their agents deal with people trying to cross over 👮‍♂️. I mean, I'm all for keeping our borders safe and secure, but shouldn't we be able to know what happened in a situation where someone got shot? 🤷‍♂️

It's like they're saying, "We don't know anything about it" when really it seems like they should have some idea of what's going on 💡. And what's with Karoline Leavitt not wanting to talk about it more? Is she scared or something? 🤔 I guess we'll just have to keep watching and see if anything changes 👀

I'm so bummed out by this whole thing 🤕... it feels like the White House is trying to sweep this under the rug 👋. I mean, a 20-year-old kid loses his life and now no one knows what happened? 😩 It's not just about the investigation, it's about accountability too ⚔️. Can't we get some truth here? 🤷‍♀️ Karoline Leavitt is being super tight-lipped about this, which is weird considering she's a press secretary 💁‍♀️. What's really going on behind the scenes? Is there more to this story than we know? 🤔

😔 it's really sad that Karoline Leavitt is being super tight-lipped about this whole thing... like, isn't her job to help answer questions from the public? 🤷‍♀️ and now she's just making things worse by saying she doesn't know anything, which is basically a huge no-go 👎. I feel so bad for Alex Pretti's family and friends who are still trying to process what happened... 💔 can't we just get some answers around here? 🤔
