Why America needs a new antiwar movement – and how it can win | Jeremy Varon

omg i'm freaking out about this... like literally how can we let our country go down this path again? trump's anti-iraq war strategy is straight up concerning 🤯 and it's so scary that he's disregarding international law and norms like bush did in the early 2000s. but seriously, we need to build a coalition ASAP against his authoritarian ways and push for diplomacy over military intervention 💪 because climate change and other crises are already hitting us hard and we can't afford to be stuck in a cycle of war and destruction 🌎

the parallels between bush's approach and trump's are too eerie to ignore... but at the same time, there's hope that this new antiwar movement can make a difference 💫 like we saw back in the day with the anti-iraq war protests. it was amazing how sustained protest could shift public opinion and put pressure on politicians to change course 🙌 now it's our turn to take action and demand better from our leaders 💕

🤔 I'm kinda worried about this... Trump's approach reminds me of Bush, and we all know how that turned out 🤦‍♂️. The protests last weekend were intense, but it's gonna be tough to build a coalition against him. The left's gotta get its act together if they wanna take on the right wing too 🤝. But I still believe that antiwar movement can make a difference... we saw it happen back in the day with Iraq, and it might just happen again 😊.
