Wild Lights will transform Elmwood Park Zoo into a festive night experience

Elmwood Park Zoo is set to transform into a dazzling winter wonderland as Wild Lights returns for another enchanting season. This festive event will illuminate the zoo's pathways, exhibits, and trees with millions of twinkling lights, creating a vibrant backdrop for visitors to explore.

During select evenings from November 21st through December 30th, the zoo will be alive with activity, featuring live entertainment, animal encounters, and seasonal treats that are sure to delight both kids and adults. Children can enjoy thrilling rides like the barrel train and carousel, while exploring the playground (weather permitting).

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet Santa at his Workshop, which remains open through December 23rd, and even participate in a new add-on experience called Cookies with Mrs. Claus, where little ones can decorate cookies alongside the beloved matriarch of the North Pole.

For adults, the zoo's outdoor beer garden and bar, ZooBrew, will provide a relaxing spot to unwind amidst the festive atmosphere. Other highlights include Character Greets, the Habitat HQ indoor space, and the Trail of the Jaguar exhibit, which remains open during the event.

Tickets for Wild Lights cost $26.95 for adults and $23.95 for children ages 3-12 (babies under 2 are free), with yearly members receiving a 50% discount. An Anytime Admission option is also available for $32.95, allowing visitors to enjoy the event on any date.

The zoo will host several themed nights, including Dog Days, which allow guests to bring their leashed pets for an additional ticket fee. Parking is free, and a complimentary shuttle will run between the main entrance and overflow lot during the event hours.

Despite the rain or shine forecast, the event will proceed as scheduled, except on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. With its unique blend of festive fun and animal encounters, Wild Lights at Elmwood Park Zoo promises to be a magical winter experience for visitors of all ages.

Omg 🀩 this Wild Lights thingy sounds like so much fun! Like, who wouldn't wanna see their fave zoo lit up with millions of twinkling lights? And the animal encounters, rides, and seasonal treats are on point πŸŽ…πŸΌ. I'm def checkin' it out with my squad πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ this year, especially the Cookie with Mrs. Claus thingy πŸͺ - that sounds like a hoot! ZooBrew sounds like the perfect spot to grab a drink and chill 😎. And hey, Dog Days? That's so cute! I'm totes down for bringin' my pup along πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§. Ticket prices seem pretty reasonable too, esp with that Anytime Admission option πŸ€‘. Definitely gonna make some magical memories at Elmwood Park Zoo this winter β„οΈπŸ’«

omg i cant wait for wild lights at elmwood park zoo πŸŽ„πŸ¦Š this year is gonna be lit! πŸš€ i love how they have a beer garden and bar for adults, its like the ultimate winter night out πŸΊπŸŽ…οΈ and who doesnt wanna meet santa's wife πŸ°πŸ’β€β™€οΈ?! plus its only $26.95 for adults which is super reasonable πŸ€‘ my kid is gonna die when they see the barrel train and carousel πŸš‚πŸŽ  i already got our tickets and we r gonna make a night of it with friends πŸ‘«πŸŽ‰

omg I'm literally so down for this πŸŽ„πŸ ! who needs a white christmas when you can have wild lights instead? it's gonna be lit with all the twinkling lights and animal encounters... plus santa at his workshop? I need to get my kiddo in there ASAP! ZooBrew sounds like the perfect spot for me and hubby to chill while the kiddos enjoy all the festivities. tickets are a bit pricey tho πŸ€‘, but 50% off for yearly members is a huge win!

🌟 I'm loving this idea of turning the zoo into a winter wonderland! It's a great way to get people excited about the holidays and spending quality time with family and friends. The addition of an outdoor beer garden is also a genius move - it'll be perfect for adults looking for a more relaxed atmosphere amidst all the festive fun. And who wouldn't want to meet Santa at his Workshop or decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus? πŸŽ„ The fact that they're offering themed nights like Dog Days is also super cool, giving pet owners a chance to bring their furry friends along too! Overall, it sounds like Wild Lights at Elmwood Park Zoo is going to be an epic winter event that'll leave everyone feeling merry and bright πŸ’«

man i'm so down for this wild lights thing πŸŽ„πŸ”₯ they're gonna make the zoo look like a real-life snow globe but it's not just about the lights...i love that they got animal encounters and seasonal treats, plus a beer garden for adults is a nice touch 🍺. and can't forget the kids' rides and playground, my little one would have a blast 🎠. i wish they'd consider making it more affordable for families with multiple kids under 12 tho, $23.95 might be a bit steep for some budgets πŸ’Έ. but overall sounds like a pretty awesome way to get into the holiday spirit ❄️

I'm totally down with this Wild Lights thing πŸŽ„πŸŒŸ! I mean, who doesn't love twinkling lights and festive vibes? But, at the same time, I'm not sure about the whole zoo-ification of Christmas... it's just too commercial for me πŸ˜’. And don't even get me started on the crowds and long lines – ugh, can't we just skip that part? 🚫 On the other hand, I love the idea of a beer garden amidst all the chaos... that's like, totally my jam β˜•οΈ! And, omg, Cookies with Mrs. Claus sounds adorable πŸ°πŸ‘΅. But, on the flip side, why do we need to pay extra for pets? 🐾 Can't they just let our furry friends join in on the fun without charging us more? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I'm low-key stoked about Wild Lights returning to the zoo πŸŽ„πŸ”₯ but I gotta wonder if they're gonna get slammed with crowds this year? I mean, who doesn't love twinkling lights and animal encounters? But at the same time, it's gonna be kinda crazy busy on weekends... hopefully they've got a solid plan in place for managing the flow of people πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ. And can we talk about how convenient that they're offering parking for free and a shuttle service? That's some serious thoughtfulness right there πŸ™. Still, I'm not sure about the whole Dog Days thing... are we really gonna have to shell out extra cash for our furry friends to come along too? πŸ˜’

omg i'm so down for this πŸŽ„πŸ¦’ zoo is gonna get hella lit πŸ”₯ with all those twinkly lights πŸ’‘ i love the idea of cookies with mrs claus πŸͺπŸ‘΅ and santa's workshop sounds like a total blast πŸŽ…πŸΌ also, i need to check out the barrel train and carousel πŸš‚πŸŒŸ zoobrew beer garden sounds like my vibe too 🍺 but gotta be careful not to overdo it on the holiday treats πŸ°πŸ’¨ kids will have so much fun exploring the playground πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ while adults can relax and enjoy the atmosphere 😎

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s kinda cool that they got this outdoor beer garden thingy going on 🍺🌳, especially since it sounds like a nice spot for adults to chill out amidst all the festive chaos 😊. And omg, Cookies with Mrs Claus? That sounds so cute! πŸ‘§πŸ° I'm not sure how my little nephew would handle decorating cookies though, he's more of a messy eater kind of kid 🀣. But overall, it seems like they're really getting into the holiday spirit at this zoo event πŸ’‘πŸŽ„

omg i'm so down for this πŸŽ„πŸ ! the zoo is literally going to transform into a fairytale wonderland with those twinkling lights πŸŒƒ it's like something out of a christmas movie! and can you even imagine strolling through the zoo on a cold winter night, surrounded by all the festive vibes and enjoying some hot cocoa β˜•οΈ meanwhile, i'm sure the kids are gonna have the best time ever on that barrel train and carousel πŸŽ πŸ‘§β€πŸŽ…οΈ and let's not forget about cookies with mrs claus - sounds like a dream come true πŸͺπŸ’•

OMG πŸŽ„πŸ”₯ I'm so down for this! I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned winter wonderland? And the zoo is gonna be SO lit with those lights! 🌟 It's like they're saying goodbye to the summer and hello to all things festive. And can we talk about the kids' rides? Barrel train and carousel? That's like something out of a childhood dream come true! πŸ˜† I'm also low-key excited for Cookies with Mrs. Claus, I mean who doesn't love cookies and a fun holiday vibe? πŸͺπŸŽ… But what really gets me is that ZooBrew is still open during the event... like, adulting made easy, am I right? πŸ˜‰

Ugh, sounds like a total nightmare πŸŒ‘. People are gonna overheat in the outdoor beer garden with no shade and then complain about the rain 🌨️. And don't even get me started on how crowded it's gonna be with all these people rushing around to meet Santa πŸŽ…. The zoo's also gonna make a ton of money off of this event, but where's that money going? πŸ€‘ Meanwhile, the animals are probably stressed out from all the noise and commotion πŸ’. And have you seen the prices for tickets? That's just ridiculous πŸ’Έ. I swear, it's like they're trying to rob us blind during the holiday season 😩.

I'm not sure if I love this idea or totally hate it πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ... I mean, who needs that many lights on a zoo? It's just gonna be too bright and overwhelming, like, can't we just have a normal night at the zoo for once? 😴 But on the other hand, I think it sounds kinda fun... especially for the kids πŸŽ‰. Like, they'll love seeing all the twinkling lights and meeting Santa πŸŽ…οΈ. And adults can chill out in the beer garden, which is a great idea 🍺. But what's up with the cost? $26.95? That's a bit steep even for me 😳. I guess it depends on how much you're willing to splurge... or not πŸ’Έ.

omg I'm so down for this πŸŽ„πŸ¦ wild lights is like the best thing ever! can't wait to bring my kids there to see santa's workshop and decorate cookies with mrs claus πŸͺ❀️ but also, zoo brew sounds like a total game changer on a cold winter night...who needs a club when you have an outdoor bar? πŸΊπŸŒƒ

OMG u guys! I'm so stoked that Elmwood Park Zoo is getting into the holiday spirit πŸŽ„πŸ’« Wild Lights sounds like such a sick event, especially with the animal encounters and rides for kids (and let's be real, adults too). I love that they have a bar & outdoor space where we can chill w/ friends while taking in the festive vibes. Cookie decorating w/ Mrs. Claus? SAVAGE πŸ°β„οΈ And can we talk about how adorable it is to see Santa at his workshop πŸŽ…οΈ? I'm def getting my tickets ASAP, been waiting all year for this!

πŸŽ„ The stats are in and I'm loving the numbers! πŸ“Š 1.2 million visitors attended Wild Lights last year, and with the increased events and add-ons this season, we're expecting a record-breaking 1.5 million+ attendees! πŸ’₯ Plus, an average of 250,000 people will be visiting the zoo's beer garden every night, making ZooBrew one of the top spots in the city for winter festivities πŸΊπŸŽ‰ The most popular animal encounter is going to be the penguin meet-and-greet - last year, they had over 10,000 visitors! 🐧πŸ‘₯

Here are some fun stats about the event:
- Over 3 million lights will be used in total
- 200+ animals will participate in the winter-themed activities
- The zoo will serve over 1.2 million hot chocolate and coffee cups this season alone
- An average of 1500 visitors arrive every night during peak hours
- There's a 30% increase in ticket sales for children ages 3-12 compared to last year πŸ“ˆ

I'm so stoked they're bringing back Wild Lights this year πŸŽ„πŸ”₯! I mean, who doesn't love twinkling lights and festive vibes? And it's not just the kiddos who'll have fun - there are plenty of activities for adults too, like ZooBrew. Plus, getting to see the animals all lit up is pretty cool too πŸ¦πŸ’‘. I was thinking though, have they considered adding more food options besides just seasonal treats? Like, what about vegan or gluten-free options? Just saying... πŸ€”

I'm so down for this πŸŽ…πŸΌπŸ˜Š! The Wild Lights event sounds like it's gonna be a total blast! I love that they're including the barrel train and carousel rides, plus the animal encounters and seasonal treats... it's gonna be a super fun night out for the whole family. Can't wait to check it out when I'm in the area... any plans on dressing up as Santa or Mrs. Claus tho? πŸ˜‰
