OMG the news about Zohran Mamdani endorsing Kathy Hochul is sooo confusing Mamdani wants tax-the-rich plan but now it seems like that's on hold He's still pushing for child care services tho which is super important Anyway, I hope he can still make his case for more funding in Albany but right now it feels like a big setback
im thinking maybe zohran just wanna see some real change happen in NYC, like more affordable housing and decent schools for all, not just taxin the rich for the sake of it mamdani's endorsement might be a step forward, but we shouldnt forget about the people who need help most
Ugh I just can't believe Zohran Mamdani would throw away their progressive cred for Governor Hochul's backing! They've been fighting tooth & nail for taxing the rich, and now it looks like that's being put on hold... what a bummer. I'm still rooting for them to deliver on this promise Tin Cup Day can't come soon enough! We need more affordable services in NYC ASAP and I hope Mamdani doesn't get lost in the process...
I'm not surprised ...back in my day we used to call it "selling out". I mean, Mamdani was all for taxing the rich, but now he's backing off because Hochul isn't on board? It just goes to show that politics is all about compromise and getting things done. But at what cost, right? I'm still holding out hope that they'll figure it out, but with Tin Cup Day coming up, it's hard not to feel a little skeptical
I'm kinda bummed out about Zohran Mamdani's decision to back Hochul... I mean, taxing the rich is literally what he campaigned on, right? It feels like all those doors knocking and rallies were for nothing now . I get that politics can be messy, but I was really hoping we'd see some real change in Albany . Now it's just Tin Cup Day, which is already a bit of an inside joke... Maybe Mamdani will pull off the funding magic, but honestly, I'm keeping my skepticism up
this is a big problem for NYC Mamdani is all about taxing the rich but Hochul is like "no way" now that Mamdani endorsed her, it's gonna be hard to make progress on this issue... or at least, he hopes so I think he was trying to get Hochul on board with his agenda and maybe get some concessions in return still holding out hope that they'll figure something out before the next election what do you guys think? Should Mamdani just wait for a better opportunity or try to make it work now?
