New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has expressed its enthusiasm for the series, stating that "Lions tours are something truly special" and that they aim to bring this experience to players and fans alike. By starting in the north and finishing in the south, NZR hopes to involve as many parts of the country as possible.

The Howden British and Irish Lions have also spoken about their excitement for the tour, with CEO Ben Calveley stating that "This is a hugely significant milestone for the British & Irish Lions" and that New Zealand will offer a fantastic stage for the women's game.

OMG 🤩 this is gonna be EPIC! 😆 I'm beyond stoked to see some of the best women's rugby teams in the world go head-to-head with each other! The fact that they're starting in Whangārei and ending in Christchurch is pure genius - I mean, who doesn't love a good road trip?! 🚗🏈 The Black Ferns XV are gonna be SO tough to beat, but I'm still hoping the Lionesses bring their A-game (or should I say, A-LION GAME 😂). Can't wait for some of that high-stakes rugby action in Hamilton too! Invitational XV, you better step up your game or get left behind 🤑.

idk why nz needs so many tests lol its gonna be like 1 big match 🤣 think they should just have one or two and call it a day, 5 tests is too much especially if you're traveling all the way from UK 🚀

OMG 🤩 they're actually gonna play rugby in NZ!! it's so cool! been hearing about this tour for ages and now its finally happening 💪 i'm defo keeping an eye on these matches can't wait to see some amazing skills on the field 🏉 the series is gonna be epic with all the top teams facing off against each other 😲 let's hope the Lionesses bring home some serious wins 👊 [google it for more info](https://www.britishandirishlions.com/the-howden-british-and-irish-lions-womens-tour/)

idk why everyone's making such a big deal about this tour 🤷‍♀️ its just rugby, right? like, i know its womens rugby and all that, but cant it just be called a bunch of games between teams instead of "historic series of rivalries"? i mean, im not hating on the whole thing or anything, but theres just too much hype surrounding it for me 🙄. plus, whats with all these tests? 3 matches against one team is kinda boring, dont u think?

OMG I'm so stoked to hear about this historic series! 🤩🏉 The fact that we get to witness some of NZ's top teams go head-to-head with the fearless Lionesses is giving me all the feels 💖. It's like, a dream come true for rugby fans everywhere 🌟. I think it's amazing that NZR is making an effort to involve as many parts of the country as possible by starting in the north and finishing in the south 🗺️. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds and which teams will shine bright 💫! #LionsTour #WomenInRugby #NZ Rugby

So the NZR trying to say they're all about unity by having this massive Lionesses tour, but isn't it funny how they picked the southern leg of their tour, kinda leaving out the northern islands? I mean, Whangārei is already booked solid with that Black Ferns XV match... What's up with that, is NZR trying to control the narrative or keep some teams from the north under wraps?

omg i'm so stoked about this tour!!! 🤩 like i've been following rugby forever and to see these amazing teams go head to head is gonna be everything 💥 i have a friend who plays on one of the black ferns teams and she's been training for ages, i'm literally dying for her to make it onto the squad 😂 anyway back to the tour, sept 4 can't come soon enough, my cousin lives in whangarei and he's already invited me over to watch it 🤜🏻👍

I'm super hyped for this Lionesses tour! It's amazing how far women's rugby has come 🤩, and this series is going to be a real showcase of some of the best teams in the country. I mean, who wouldn't want to see the Black Ferns go up against the Howden British and Irish Lions? The rivalry between these two teams is going to be electric 🔥, and I'm loving how NZR is trying to get as many teams involved as possible by starting in Whangārei and finishing in Christchurch. This is going to be an epic journey across New Zealand, and I'm all about it 😎!

I'm so stoked to see more women's rugby making waves 🤩! This tour is gonna be EPIC, especially with the Black Ferns hosting the Lionesses in Whangārei on 9/4 😍. Did you know that women's rugby has seen a 20% increase in viewership since 2020? It's growing fast, folks! 📈

According to ESPN, the women's rugby world cup attendance increased by 25% in 2022 compared to 2017 🌎. And let's not forget that New Zealand is hosting this tour - they've got some top-notch teams and venues lined up! 🏟️ The fixtures are looking pretty stacked too: we're talking a 60% increase in Test matches compared to the last Lionesses tour 📊.

I'm also loving the fact that NZR's trying to make the most of this event by involving as many regions as possible. They've announced over $3.5 million in sponsorship deals and are expecting around 100,000 fans to attend each match 🤑! That's a lot of excitement and energy - can't wait to see it all go down!

Stats:

* Women's rugby has seen a 25% increase in participation since 2018 📊
* The Lionesses have won 6 out of their last 7 European Championships 🏆
* New Zealand Rugby is expecting an average attendance of 12,000 fans per match ⚽

this is so cool 🤩 the british and irish lions are going to new zealand in 2027 and it's not just about the rugby, it's about the rivalry between teams, you know? like how some of the top teams will be playing against each other which makes it even more intense.

i think its awesome that nZR is involving so many teams from different parts of the country, thats what makes this tour special and not just another rugby match. and ben calveley saying that new zealand offers a fantastic stage for the women's game shows how much they appreciate the growth and development of women's rugby.

i'm also loving the fact that this is a historic series for women's rugby, like its finally getting the recognition it deserves. we need more tours like this to showcase womens rugby to a bigger audience.

🤩 The announcement of the British and Irish Lions Women's Tour to New Zealand in 2027 has got me thoroughly excited 💥! As we witness the rise of women's rugby, it's fantastic to see international competitions like this one being organized 🌎. Not only will these matches provide an electrifying experience for fans, but they'll also serve as a platform to promote women's sports and inspire a new generation of players 🔥.

The fact that New Zealand Rugby has gone all out to make this tour special, with its unique format and diverse venues, is a testament to the country's passion for rugby 🙌. The inclusion of an Invitational XV team in Hamilton adds an extra layer of intrigue, making this series an absolute must-watch for sports enthusiasts 📺.

As we welcome this historic series, I'm reminded of the importance of female empowerment and inclusivity in sports 🌟. These Lionesses will not only represent their countries but also break down barriers and shatter stereotypes along the way 💪. Bring on September 2027, and let's get ready to witness some unforgettable moments! 🎉

I'm not sure how hyped everyone's getting over this tour 🤔. I mean, it's cool to see women's rugby getting more attention, but is it really necessary for the Lionesses to go all the way to New Zealand just for a few games? Don't get me wrong, I love a good underdog story, but can we not wait until they've actually proven themselves in some actual competitions?

And what's with the whole "historic series of rivalries" thing? Is it really that big of a deal that the Lionesses are going to play against the Black Ferns XV? These teams have been around for ages, and I'm pretty sure they're not exactly newbies to each other. Let's see some real challenge before we start celebrating like it's the end of the world 🌎

😊 Man, I remember watching this exact same thing happen back in 2005 when the original British Lions tour came to Australia... or was it South Africa? 🤔 Doesn't matter anymore! This new tour is going to be epic, though. Women's rugby has come a long way since I first started playing touch rugby with my mates at school 🏃‍♂️👦. The level of competition and talent from both teams is going to be insane! Can't wait to see how it all plays out in New Zealand... will be tuning in from the UK 📺❤️
