I'm so down for a fresh take on Wuthering Heights! The trailer looks dark and intense, just like the novel. I love that Emerald Fennell isn't afraid to push boundaries and challenge traditional interpretations. But at the same time, I hope she doesn't lose sight of what makes this story so iconic – the all-consuming passion between Catherine and Heathcliff is still going to be a major part of the film, right? Can't wait to see how she weaves it all together!
omg y'all i cant even! so theres this trailer out 4 emerald fennells wuthering heights adaption & im lowkey hyped i love how bold & provocative its lookin but also kinda concerned cuz im not sure if its gonna be too much for ppl. i mean, bronte's novel is already pretty dark n stuff but fennell seems determined 2 stay true 2 the orginal vision which i respect. cant w8 2 c how it all plays out, esp since valentines day 2026
I'm low-key hyped about this adaptation, but high-key worried at the same time . I mean, Emily Brontë's original novel was already pretty dark and twisted, so I'm not sure if Emerald Fennell is taking it too far with all the controversy around her casting choices and visuals . I love that she's trying to stay true to the novel, but at the same time, I'm a little scared that she's gonna make it too intense for some viewers...or maybe that's just part of the point? I guess only time (and the trailer) will tell if this adaptation is gonna be a masterpiece or a mess .
lol, another adaptation of Wuthering Heights ...like the world really needed another one . emerald fennell's style is definitely...eye-catching ...and i'm curious if she'll make cathy and heathcliff's toxic relationship even more cringeworthy ...and btw, why do they need to cast margot robie as cathy? cant't they just cast someone with a less iconic nose? . anywayz, valentine's day 2026 can't come soon enough...or should i say, can't wait for the inevitable wuthering heights-themed breakups

But I gotta say, some of the visuals are kinda dark and moody, like they're trying to recreate the atmosphere of the Yorkshire moors . I'm curious to see how Emerald Fennell's interpretation will unfold, though - will it be a faithful retelling or a bold new take?
