I gotta say
, this book is defo impressive. The way Miranda Barnes captures those debutante balls, it's like you're right there with her, feeling all the emotions and drama. But at the same time, I'm a bit skeptical about how much of a genuine connection she actually had with her subjects. I mean, yeah, sure, she used Zoom calls to introduce herself and did prep work, but what about the other side? Did those young women really have agency over their own stories being told?
