Zac Brown Wins Lawsuit Against Ex-Wife Kelly Yazdi Over Business Records: ‘She May Act to Harm’

Zac Brown, the frontman of the Zac Brown Band, has emerged victorious in a lengthy lawsuit against his ex-wife Kelly Yazdi over sensitive business records. A permanent injunction was issued on January 12th, requiring Yazdi to return confidential documents taken from her work email before leaving her job at Zac Brown Collective.

The dispute began when Yazdi forwarded nearly 200 confidential documents to herself ahead of her departure in early 2024. These records included financial valuations for Brown's music catalog and wine brand, employee salary information, contractual terms for endorsements, touring data, and music marketing plans. Brown alleged that Yazdi had breached a confidentiality clause in her employment contract by taking these files.

Judge William M. Ray II ruled that Yazdi has already used the records to "fuel her public attacks on Mr. Brown." He also stated that the court could not accept Yazdi's assurances that she would not disclose confidential information, citing her previous actions and social media posts as evidence of potential harm to Brown's business interests.

The judge pointed to a series of 2024 social media posts featuring butterfly imagery, which coincided with the release dates specified in documents Yazdi had forwarded. He concluded that Yazdi's actions constitute a breach of her employment agreement and ordered her to return all confidential records immediately.

Brown did not seek financial damages in this case, meaning the injunction is the final step before an appeal. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2025, with Brown now engaged to jewelry designer Kendra Scott.

omg u guys can u even imagine the drama that went down between Zac Brown and his ex-wife Kelly Yazdi? 🤯 like she thought she could just take those super sensitive business records and use them against him on social media?! 🚫 that's not cool at all. i'm kinda surprised she didn't think through the butterfly imagery thing tho... like, come on girl, that was a bit too obvious 😉. anyway, glad the court stepped in and put a stop to her attempts to sabotage his business. he's moving on with his life now and engaged to Kendra Scott, btw 💍🎉

Ugh, I'm so over this forum 🤯. Can't we just discuss music or something without all the drama? Like, Zac Brown wins his lawsuit and everyone's all excited about it... but what's really going on here? It seems like his ex-wife was trying to sabotage him by releasing that sensitive info online 😒.

I mean, I'm not a lawyer or anything, but shouldn't we just focus on the facts? The judge ruled that she breached her confidentiality clause and now she has to return those documents. But what's the point of even discussing this stuff? It's all so... petty 🤪.

And can we please just talk about the music already? Zac Brown Band is still rocking out, and I'm sure his new fiancée Kendra Scott isn't going to make him cancel any tour dates 😂. Let's keep it civil, folks! 💕

man.. this whole thing just highlights how important it is to respect confidentiality agreements 🙏. i mean, think about it - when you sign on the dotted line, you're not just promising to keep secrets for a few years, you're committing to protect someone's livelihood for life. and in this case, Kelly Yazdi took that commitment seriously... wrongly, of course 😔.

anyway, it's not like Zac Brown is some kind of villain - he's actually been pretty open about his business dealings in the past. but at the end of the day, he still deserves to have his private info protected 💼. and I think this whole ordeal just shows how social media can be a double-edged sword... we gotta use it to promote positivity, not to spill our tea when someone's not looking 📱💔

🤔 just thinkin' about how some ppl got no boundaries when it comes to info... like what's goin on with this ex-wife of Zac Brown's? She basically went rogue and used sensitive records to stir up drama on social media 📱. I mean, didn't she know there was a non-disclosure agreement in place? Now she's gettin' shut down by the court and has to return those docs... good for him, I guess 😊. The thing that really got me is how some people don't respect other people's business, even when it's not their own 🤷‍♀️.

omg i'm shocked that Kelly Yazdi would do something so sneaky she's always been super outspoken and vocal about her issues with Zac Brown but breaching confidentiality is just low ⚠️ anyway glad it's all sorted out and the documents are back where they belong 🙌 now let's celebrate Zac's engagement to Kendra Scott 💕🎉

Ugh, another celebrity lawsuit 🙄... I mean, can't they just have a chill conversation about it? Zac Brown's ex-wife Kelly Yazdi was just trying to get some info out of the system before leaving her job, right? And now she's gotta return all these records and she's also being sued for allegedly spreading confidential info on social media 🤷‍♀️. The judge was pretty harsh too, saying she'd already used the records to fuel her public attacks on Brown... but didn't he just leave her out of his band and tell her what was up? It feels like a big ol' mess 🙃. And now he's all engaged to some other person... I guess that's good for him, but it seems pretty dramatic 💔.

The big question here is, what's the real motive behind Kelly Yazdi's actions? Is she just a disgruntled ex trying to get back at Zac Brown, or is there something more to it? The judge seemed pretty clear that her social media posts were a deliberate attempt to cause harm to Brown's business interests. I mean, who uses butterfly imagery around release dates of music and wine? It sounds like a clever PR stunt gone wrong!

And let's not forget about the timing of this whole thing. It's just days after they finalized their divorce. Is Yazdi trying to sabotage Brown's new life with Kendra Scott? The fact that she breached her confidentiality clause and used sensitive documents for personal gain is concerning, but what's really at play here?

I'd love to see how this plays out in an appeal. Will the courts take a closer look at the motivations behind Yazdi's actions? And will Brown be able to prove any actual financial damages were caused by her breach of contract?

Man, that's wild 🤯! So like, Kelly Yazdi was trying to get away with some serious info from her old job at Zac Brown Collective, and it just didn't fly 💔. I mean, come on, taking confidential documents and using them to "fuel her public attacks" on Zac? That's not cool 😒.

And can you believe the judge ruled that she basically breached her own employment contract 🤦‍♀️? It's like, if someone says they're gonna keep something private, you gotta trust 'em, right? 💯

I'm glad Zac won this one, and I hope he doesn't have to deal with any more drama from his ex 💪. He's move on and found someone new, Kendra Scott is awesome 👀! Anyway, this whole thing just goes to show that you gotta be careful what you do online 📱...

🤔 so like i was thinking about this whole thing and i just dont get why she took all those docs and forwarded them to herself like what was she planning on doing with them? 📁 wasnt she worried that someone would see them and be like oh this guy's business is a mess? 🤑

i mean Brown had the courage to take her to court over it which shows he values his personal info, but on the other hand Yazdi could have just kept quiet about it and moved on with her life... or maybe she just really wanted to stir up drama? 🤷‍♀️

and its kinda weird that the judge mentioned all these butterfly posts... like what does that even have to do with anything? 🦋 wasnt Brown just trying to protect his business interests from being ruined? 🤝

I'm low-key impressed that Zac Brown won that lawsuit 🤔. I mean, taking down a ex-wife who was trying to stir up drama about your business? That's some serious detective work 💡. I love how the judge called her out on using those records to fuel public attacks against him - talk about a digital footprint 🔍. And can we just say that butterfly imagery is SO not cool in this context 🦋? It's like, come on girl, you went there! Anyway, it's good to see Zac Brown moving forward with his life and new partner Kendra Scott 💕. This injunction is definitely the final nail in the coffin for any potential drama between him and Kelly Yazdi 💼.

omg 🤯 i gotta say, this lawsuit was soooo messy 🤪! but kinda fair too? like, who takes confidential business records and uses them for "public attacks" on their ex? 🙅‍♂️ that's just not cool.

anyway, i think the judge did the right thing by handing down a permanent injunction 📜. it's not about seeking revenge or financial damages (thankfully, coz that'd be harsh 😒); it's about protecting Brown's business interests and maintaining confidentiality.

btw, have you seen those butterfly social media posts? 🦋👀 they're so... intriguing. like, what was Yazdi trying to say with them? 💭 maybe we'll never know 🤷‍♀️.

anywayz, this whole thing is a reminder that even in the music industry, there are consequences for playing with fire 🔥 (aka, confidential business records). kudos to Brown for standing up for himself and his brand 💯.

Ugh, can you believe what happened here? 😡 Zac Brown must be totally livid that his ex-wife Kelly Yazdi went through all those confidential docs and used them to trash him on social media! 🚫 Like, who does that?! 🤯 And now the judge has basically given her a slap on the wrist by telling her to return the records... but she probably already shared half of 'em online by now 📊. I mean, it's just so frustrating when someone breaches confidentiality like that. It's not right! 😤

I don't get why she's using these business records to attack him on social media 🤔. It just seems like a huge breach of trust and confidentiality. I mean, come on, if you're not supposed to have that info anymore, why are you still spilling the beans? 🙅‍♂️ And what's with all this drama? Can't they just move on from their divorce and focus on their lives? 🤷‍♂️ I'm sure Brown is relieved that it's over and he can finally get back to his music and business without all this stress. 💼🎸

OMG I'M SO GLAD ZAC BROWN WON THIS CASE!!! 🤩🎉 IT'S LIKE HE PROTECTED HIS BUSINESS RECS FROM SOMEONE WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE KEEPING THEM SECRET 🙅‍♂️ KELLY YAZDI THOUGHT SHE COULD JUST TAKE THOSE RECORDS AND USE THEM AGAINST HIM ON SOCIAL MEDIA 📱😒 BUT THE COURT SAW RIGHT THROUGH IT AND STOPPED HER FROM DOING ANY FURTHER DAMAGE 💯 WHAT IF SHE HAD SOLD THOSE RECORDS TO A COMPETITOR OR SHARED THEM WITH SOMEONE WHO WOULD HAVE USED THEM TO GET THE UPGIRN 😳 GRRR ZAC BROWN IS LIKE, SO SMART FOR PROTECTING HIS BUSINESS 💸

😊 I think it's crazy that Kelly Yazdi thought she could just forward all those confidential documents and then act like nothing was wrong. I mean, come on! 🤦‍♀️ The judge made a clear point about her trying to use the records for her own gain and airing dirty laundry in public.

The whole situation seems super petty and unnecessary, but hey, that's what happens when you're in a high-stakes business deal like this. I guess it's good that Zac Brown didn't want to go down the road of asking for money – that would've made things way more complicated. 🙏

OMG u guys, i'm literally shook 🤯 by this news! like, zac brown's ex-wife kelly yazdi got ROBBED 🔒 of her rights over those confidential documents 📁. i mean, she was just trying to forward them herself and then she gets accused of breaching her contract? that's harsh 💔.

and can we talk about how the judge used those butterfly posts as evidence? 🦋 like, what even is that? it's not like she was directly saying anything bad about zac brown. but still, it's kinda weird that they're making a big deal out of it.

anywayz, i feel bad for kelly yazdi. it sounds like she's already going through so much with her divorce and now this whole thing is being thrown on top of it 🤕. hope zac brown is being super supportive? 😊

Ugh, what a mess 🤯 Zac Brown's ex-wife Kelly Yazdi thinks she can just waltz out of her job and leak all those sensitive business records like they're nobody's business 🚮? I mean, come on, girl! You know better than to dish about someone's personal finances, contracts, and music plans online. It's just basic common sense 💡

And poor Zac Brown, having to deal with this drama while he's trying to focus on his next big project or whatever 💼. I feel for the guy, honestly 🤗. He's already got a new ring (not literally, but you get it 😉) and Kendra Scott is lucky to have him 👰.

I gotta say, though, Judge William M. Ray II didn't mince words when it came to Yazdi's breaches of contract 📜. The fact that she used those records to fuel her public attacks on Brown is just shady 😒. I'm glad the judge stepped in and ordered her to return all those documents ASAP 🔒.

Anyway, now that the dust has settled (or not 😉), let's just hope Zac Brown can put this whole ordeal behind him and focus on creating more awesome music 🎸. Cheers to that! 🍻

😒 I feel for Zac Brown in this situation... I mean, who wants to deal with their ex spilling all their business secrets on social media? 📊 It's like, you think you're done with each other, but then she goes and shares all that juicy info about your music catalog and endorsement deals. 🤯 And now he has to get a permanent injunction just because she took the files from her work email before leaving her job? I feel like it's a bit harsh, tbh... 🤑

so Zac Brown wins this huge lawsuit against his ex wife and now he's got all those confidential documents back 🙌🏻💼. it's crazy how one person can cause so much drama and damage to someone else's business interests, like Yazdi did here 😬. judge ray II was fair in saying she breached her contract and used that info to fuel her public attacks on Brown... like, what even is the point of doing that? 🤷‍♀️ anyway, glad it's all settled and Brown can focus on his music and other ventures now 💕
