Violent Attacks in Chicago's Logan Square Leave Community on High Alert
Two women were shaken by attempted sexual assaults in the early hours of Friday morning, in a pair of incidents that left residents of Logan Square on edge. The first assault occurred at 2:32 a.m. on North Sawyer Avenue, where a man approached the victim from behind and used verbal threats and physical force to subdue her. Thankfully, her cries for help drew the attention of nearby residents, who came to her aid and helped her escape.
Just over an hour later, another woman was targeted in a similar manner at 3:23 a.m. on West Schubert Avenue. According to police, the man also approached her from behind and used physical force to restrain her before fleeing the scene when confronted by bystanders.
Details of the suspect are still being sought, but authorities have released a description of him as a man between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 10 tall, with a medium to dark complexion and a thin build. He was last seen wearing dark gray jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt with green and black trim at the bottom, and a gray or black ski mask.

The city of Chicago needs to come together and support each other, especially during these tough times. It's heartbreaking to hear about these women being targeted in such a brutal way. The police are doing their best to catch the guy, but we all need to be on the lookout too! 
. I mean, I'm all for sharing my thoughts and opinions, but sometimes it feels like we're just venting about our own problems without ever truly understanding what others are going through.

and what kinda neighborhood is logan square if people are walking around at 2 am thinking it's safe? didn't they hear anything or see anything suspicious?? did anyone follow them or notice the guy?

This whole thing is just so disheartening... I mean, can't we just live in a world where people feel safe? 
These women were just minding their own business and suddenly they're faced with this terrifying situation. It's not just about the physical harm, it's about the fear and vulnerability that comes with being targeted.

so many questions though like what was going through that dude's mind and why did he choose these areas? and i feel for those two women who were literally attacked while walking home

this is getting scary in logan square... two women attacked like that? it's unacceptable & i'm so grateful to the ppl who helped them escape 
i mean, i know we need to be careful and all, but we shouldn't have to live like this, constantly looking over our shoulders. and what really gets me is the guy's description - he's not even that tall, just a generic dude with a hoodie on... it's just so frustrating when you can't even get a good look at him

and put an end to this. but in the meantime, i feel so sorry for those two women who went through this traumatic experience
