Black Friday shooting at Valley Fair mall renews debate: Are California’s juvenile laws too lax?

🤔 This whole situation with the Valley Fair shooting is super sad 🙏. I mean, two teenagers and an 18-year-old woman getting hurt? That's just heartbreaking 😩. And now, there's this other kid who was just 13 when he killed someone last year... it's crazy how young you have to be to be considered a threat 🤯.

I think some people are right that California's laws need to change 📜. I mean, if the system is supposed to help these kids and turn them around, then why can't we see any progress? It feels like they're just getting more and more chances 💥. But at the same time, I get why others want to punish them harsher 💪. I don't know what's the answer, but I do think we need to focus on preventing this kind of stuff from happening in the first place 🚫.

I'm all for investing in community programs and services that can help these kids 👍. That way, they're not just stuck in the system or becoming more violent 💔. We should be supporting them instead of just punishing them 🤝. It's time to think about what really causes this kind of violence and how we can fix it 🤔.

🤔 I'm so confused about California's laws on juvenile crime... Like, if a 13-year-old gets arrested for murder and faces trial in juvenile court, but the law is supposed to be "rehabilitative", then what exactly are they being rehabilitated from? The act of killing someone? And isn't it kinda counterintuitive that more punishment might deter them from committing violent crime in the future? I mean, I get that we gotta take care of our young people and all, but shouldn't there be some balance between helping them and keeping society safe too? 🤷‍♀️

Ugh, this is so sad 🤕 the fact that there's another shooting at a mall in San Jose... like, what's going on?! We need to figure out why these kids are getting all violent and stuff 💡

Here's my take:
```
We need to invest in programs and services that support young people, like the Youth Empowerment Alliance. It's not just about punishing them or throwing them in juvenile court... that's not gonna cut it 🤷‍♀️
And what's up with the 21-year-old woman who got arrested? Like, is she really going to face charges for helping the suspect escape? That just seems weird 😂
Anywayz, we gotta get real about this whole juvenile justice thing. We need to address the root causes of violence among young people and create a safer society for everyone 🌎
omg this is so sad 🤕 i feel bad for those two teens who got shot 🙏 i dont understand how anyone could do something like that tho...i mean what would make someone just start shooting at people? 🤔 is it because of the gangs or what? 🚫 my mom always says that community programs are cool and all but i think we need to punish them more or something ⚠️ not that i agree with hurting anyone's feelings or anything...i just dont get why this keeps happening in california 🙄
🤕 The fact that California's lenient laws are coming under fire after another violent incident is just plain worrying 🚨. I think it's a bit too easy on the young offenders - you know, 17-year-olds shooting people in malls? That's some serious red flag stuff 😬. It feels like we're not taking these crimes seriously enough, and that's why people are saying harsher penalties would be a good idea 💯. The mayor is trying to point out community-based initiatives, but let's be real, what about the ones who just can't help themselves? You need to strike a balance between helping them and keeping everyone else safe 🤝.
