. balance is key when it comes to lineup construction. having too many lefty power hitters can make ur team predictable. but adding a righty with pop? that's like the icing on the cake

I mean, we already have plenty of LH power hitters in the lineup w/ Ortiz & Roman Anthony so adding an RH option like Alonso would give us SO much more flexibility in game strategy

the red sox already got a ton of lefty power hitters what do they need right handed? Alonso can play 1b which is cool but schwarber has some crazy pop too might be worth it to have both 
. And have you seen their contract numbers? It's gonna be a huge burden for the Sox to take on either of these guys 
. It's not just about getting more power, but also having options for different situations on the field. Alonso being able to play first base is huge, it would give them so much flexibility and make their infield depth even better
