Jack Ciattarelli pledges to pull New Jersey from greenhouse gas initiative

I'm kinda surprised about this ๐Ÿ˜’. I get that utility bills have been going up and people are looking for ways to save money, but withdrawing from RGGI seems like a big deal ๐Ÿค”. I mean, we're talking about reducing greenhouse gas emissions here ๐ŸŒŽ. I know some folks might see it as a way to lower costs, but what about all the good stuff that comes with having revenue from selling those emission allowances? ๐Ÿ’ธ Like, electric vehicle infrastructure and carbon sequestration - those are things we should be investing in! ๐Ÿš€

I'm not sure if Jack Ciattarelli's campaign has thought this one through ๐Ÿ”ฎ. It seems like he's just trying to appease his base without actually considering the long-term effects on our state ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. And what about the neighboring states? Pennsylvania is already trying to join RGGI, but now New Jersey might be pulling out? That's some confusing politics ๐Ÿ™„.

Anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all plays out ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ. One thing's for sure: I hope whoever ends up winning the election knows what they're doing ๐Ÿ’ช!

omg i cant even believe the ppl making this happen ๐Ÿ’ธ๐ŸŒŽ ciattarellis gonna save us $$$500 million a year?? that sounds like a total game changer ๐Ÿคฉ and yeah the revenue is used for good stuff like electric vehicle infrastructure and carbon sequestration lol what more could u want ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒŸ

OMG, like this is such a big dealth!! ๐Ÿคฏ so NJ wanna leev Greenhouse Gas Initiativ and it's gonna save them ratepayers 500 millyun dolars a year lol, but critics say it's all bad news for the enviroment ๐ŸŒŽ ciattarelli says he can stil do good things w/o RGGI funds tho ๐Ÿค” idk man, on one hand its like, yay cheaper utility bills ๐Ÿ“‰ but on the other hand ppl might start emmisionin more and it's like, why ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I donโ€™t usually comment but I think itโ€™s weird that Jack Ciattarelli is trying to save $500 million for ratepayers by leaving this program ๐Ÿค”. Like, how does he plan on doing that? The whole point of RGGI was to reduce emissions and help the environment... isn't saving money just short-term thinking ๐Ÿ’ธ? And what about all the environmental initiatives and renewable energy projects that rely on those funds? It's like, you can't put a price on clean air ๐ŸŒฟ. I donโ€™t know, maybe he has some solid plan B in mind, but from what I've seen so far, it just seems like a bunch of hot air ๐Ÿ’จ.

I'm telling ya, I remember when we used to have energy independence back in my day ๐ŸŒŸ. Now it seems like everything is about those greenhouse gas emissions and trading allowances. It's all so complicated. Anyway, if Jack Ciattarelli is gonna save ratepayers $500 million annually by leaving RGGI, that's gotta count for something, right? I mean, we used to have to pay for our electricity just fine without all these fancy emission rules ๐Ÿค”. And don't even get me started on the impact on neighboring states... it's like, can't they all just work together to reduce emissions already? ๐Ÿ˜’ Still, I guess if Ciattarelli can make good on his promises and keep costs low for NJans, I won't be too mad about him leaving RGGI ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. But we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out ๐Ÿ’ธ
