I just watched 'Keeper' and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it . I mean, the atmosphere is super creepy, like someone's lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce... but at the same time, the plot is all over the place . It's like Osgood Perkins wanted to explore some deeper themes about monogamy and social commentary, but he just kinda... meandered through it . I felt lost, to be honest! The performances are solid, though - Rossif Sutherland is really convincing as Malcolm, even if his character feels a bit one-dimensional . But Tatiana Maslany's Liz? Not so much . Overall, it's like 'Keeper' is trying to be some sort of avant-garde horror experience, but it just doesn't quite work for me . If you're into that sorta thing, go for it! But if you're looking for a more straightforward serial killer thriller... yeah, there are other options out there .

i mean, i loved tatiana maslany in orphan black, but here she's just kinda...there and osgood perkins is like that one uncle who thinks he's edgy but really just confuses everyone the cinematography tho, jermey cox, that guy's a genius i dunno man, i got so lost in 'keeper' i think i need to rewatch it or something...or maybe just stick to my season of true detective reruns

I gotta say ... I love how Osgood Perkins is pushing the boundaries with this film, but at the same time, it's like he's trying to make it too weird . I mean, I get what he's going for with the whole atmospheric tension thing, but sometimes it feels like he's just throwing trippy elements in there willy-nilly without thinking about how they'll impact the story .

And yeah, Tatiana Maslany is solid as always, but Liz feels kinda one-note to me . I get that Perkins is trying to mirror the unpredictability of serial killers, but can't he just commit to his vision for once? And Rossif Sutherland's performance is great, but even with him, it's hard not to feel like Malcolm's a bit of a cardboard cutout .

That Jeremy Cox's cinematography though... it's straight fire . The way the camera captures the beauty of that woodland setting is just stunning. And Birkett Turton as Darren? He's definitely the standout in this cast .
