Sixers wing Kelly Oubre Jr. out at least two weeks with LCL sprain in left knee

Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia 76ers have confirmed that shooting guard Kelly Oubre Jr. will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a knee sprain in his left leg.

Oubre, who had established himself as one of the team's most reliable players this season, suffered a hyperextension injury during Friday night's game against Detroit and has not played since then. Coach Nick Nurse provided some reassurance on Wednesday evening, stating that an update on Oubre's status would be given before the end of the day.

Prior to being withdrawn from the first half of the game, Oubre had been averaging 36.7 minutes per contest for the Sixers this season and was a key contributor in the team's rotation.

πŸ€” I'm kinda hoping Kelly Oubre Jr gets some extra playing time now that he's out... like, not because I don't want him to get healthy or anything, but 'cause it'll be interesting to see how the other guys step up. They've been relying on him too much this season and now they gotta figure it out without him πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Plus, two weeks is a decent chunk of time for an injury like that, so maybe he comes back stronger than ever πŸ’ͺ. Just saying, don't wanna see the 76ers' season slip away just 'cause Oubre's not on the court 😊

I don't get why they gotta rush him back so soon... like, two weeks is a decent chunk of time to heal up properly πŸ€•. I know he's been doing well on the court, but his health should be priority no. 1 right now. And what's with the hyperextension injury? That sounds super painful 😬. Anyways, gotta keep an eye on Oubre and hope he comes back strong and healthy... fingers crossed for him!

Ugh, I guess this is one more reason to love my couch... just kidding! 🀣 So Kelly Oubre Jr. went down with a knee sprain and now he's out for two weeks... that's like, forever in NBA time ⏱️. I mean, the 76ers were already having some ups and downs this season (get it? ups and downs? like a basketball game? πŸ˜‚), but now they're gonna have to adjust their lineup without one of their top shooters. I hope he's okay, though... I don't want to see him on crutches walking around the city πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ. On the bright side, maybe this is an opportunity for some other player to step up and show off their skills πŸ’ͺ! Who knows, maybe we'll get a surprise from the bench πŸ˜†!

Ugh, I hate when my favorite teams get hurt πŸ€•πŸ€! Kelly Oubre Jr is like one of those players who always seems to step up his game when it matters most... now he's out for 2 weeks and I'm gonna miss him on the court so much πŸ˜”. The Sixers are really struggling without their reliable players, you know? They need guys like Oubre to fill in the gaps, but I guess that's just part of the game πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Hopefully he'll be back soon and we can get back to seeing him sink those three-pointers πŸ˜….

ugh i cant even right now, kelly oureb Jr is like my boy 🀯 he just got hurt and im so worried about him, two weeks feels like forever in basketball time dont get me wrong coaches gotta protect his knee but it hurts to see him sidelined when hes been doing so well this season averaging 36.7 mins a game πŸ“Š thats a lot of responsibility on his shoulders now i guess we just gotta wait and see how its gonna affect the team, hopefully nick nurse can get them through this rough patch πŸ’ͺ

Wow 🀯, two weeks is a pretty long time for an NBA player to be out with an injury... I mean, they need to make sure that knee is good to go before they bring him back into the game. And it's not like he was just having a good stretch or anything, he was one of their top contributors this season! Interesting 😬 how they'll adjust without him, gotta see how Coach Nurse and the rest of the team adapt to the lineup change... πŸ€”

πŸ€• what's up with all these injuries in the NBA πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ? first it's Joel Embiid's foot problem, now Kelly Oubre Jr.'s knee sprain... teams need to take better care of their players or risk losing them for good πŸ₯. and coach Nick Nurse is already talking about 'reassurance' like that's a thing πŸ˜…. anyone think the Sixers are gonna make it with this lineup? 76ers fans must be, like, totally stressing right now...

omg i'm soooo sad for kelly ouvre jr he's like my favorite player lol πŸ˜”πŸ€ i've been following him since he joined the sixers last year and he's literally become one of my go-to players to watch during games πŸ“Ί i mean, 36.7 mins per game is insane! but i guess it's even more impressive that he was playing through some kinda pain πŸ€• and now he's gonna be sidelined for two weeks 😞 that's like, forever in basketball time lol πŸ•°οΈ hopefully he'll make a speedy recovery tho πŸ’ͺπŸ’¨

Ugh πŸ€• just got out of bed and already gotta hear about Kelly Oubre Jr getting hurt πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ knee sprains are always bad news and now the 76ers are gonna have to scramble for minutes without their reliable SG 😬 gotta feel for the guy, but this is the life of a pro athlete - one wrong move and you're done πŸ€πŸ’”
