I think it's really cool that Nick Thompson is able to balance his work and running life so well
. I mean, having a Trello board to organize your tasks is genius - it's like, how do people even manage without it?
But what I love most about this conversation is when he talks about running being a form of self-care and stress relief. That makes total sense to me! As someone who loves running and trying to stay active, I can attest that it really does clear my head and help me feel more focused
.
I also think it's interesting how Thompson brings up the topic of pseudoscience in the running community - it's like, we need some people who are actually researching and testing things instead of just spouting off random advice
. And I'm with him on that - I get so frustrated when runners share "tips" that have no scientific backing
.
Anyway, I think this conversation is a great reminder that running (and taking care of yourself in general) should be about finding joy and fulfillment, not just trying to achieve some arbitrary goal
